Non-denominational Christian while also engaging with shamanism and utilizing Shaiva Hinduism.
I'm not one one those New Age "Christ Consciousness" or "Christ was just another ascended master" types. I do understand and accept the uniqueness of Christ and the teachings of the gospels, but for me, that is not mutually exclusive to a more encompassing spiritual cosmology.
I think you sum up 90% of the people here. Praise God people like you exist that can articulate so beautifully what everyone else is thinking! That's a God-given talent and He's using you well!
I was New Age too. Makes me depressed because New Age is totally lucifarian in origin. Madam Blavatsky literally had a magazine called Lucifer.
Reading Q drops and going down the Satanic rabbit holes, woke me the fuck up. Made me realize Christ was the Good side. After I discovered all the other ways these Satanists in power, media, entertainment etc have led us astray? Well, I’m a church militant now.
Not sure the New Age crowd is luciferian in origin maybe they got corrupted or maybe there is two factions. Light vs Darkness seems to be a recurring theme everywhere.
The New Age crowd was actually right they were just early.
Yeah, I didn’t want to believe it at first either. Look into Blavatsky. She’s a witch. Makes sense though, the whole law of attraction, you are your own creator stuff? You are your own God essentially. That’s Luciferian. He’s the Light Bringer. Law of attraction is totally bullshit because how can you explain a child dying of cancer? Did the child will that into existence? All the bad things that happen to you are essentially your fault, with Law of Attraction. That’s an abuser/abused mentality. You make the abused think they deserve the bad things happening to them. That ain’t God. He has laws and allowed bad things to happen when Adam and Eve fell, and it’s our duty as his children to still remain devoted to Him, just like Job. But He never wants to hurt his children, that shits the devil, son.
Blavatsky reintroduced ancient beliefs/pagan/occult traditions into Western European society again with her spin on things. Many of her teachings come from much older Hellenistic beliefs. She is definitely demonic and I think she corrupted a lot of the ancient philosophies. The word “new age” is a bastardization of many lost traditional beliefs from ancient civilizations where a lot of our myths come from.
Except I wasn't religious at all but I did pray now and again in my own way. And I had no idea what i was being involved in. I was pulled into it and i was clueless.
My life is so strange its literally like my life is engineered.
When I said "uniqueness" of Christ/Christianity I was implying the Exclusionary Principle of Christianity. That He is the narrow door to true salvation and no one and nothing else is.
I never said salvation was attainable through other means or entities. Just that one can incorporate them into the whole cosmic landscape that includes Jesus without discounting his words and the gospels.
The bible clearly elaborates other aspects of the spiritual world which one can interact with. Various hierarchies of elohim which includes numerous categories of benevolent non-human spiritual beings; form cherubim and seraphim to archangels and the Hosts of Heaven, or the Four Living Creatures who are covered in eyes.
And interfacing with these beings through prayer and altered states is also affirmed by the myriad Old and New Testament examples of prophesy and encounters made during dreams and fasting.
Nothing I said is mutually exclusive with Christ's teachings.
If we acknowledge the catholic church has been corrupted and it seems for centuries.....how are you so sure the Bible itself hasn’t been corrupted as well? Who are these monks that copied the Bible through the ages? How hard would it be to change a few lines here and there every edition? Just thinking out loud. The Bible and the church has been used by elites to control peasants forever. I believe there is God and most of the things the Bible teaches is truth but there is a lot of room for corruption.
I am not Catholic, nor have I said anything about the Catholic Church.
The manuscriptural evidence, including the Dead Sea Scrolls, puts to bed your question. There was no doctrine changing corruption between what we have today and ancient manuscripts. We have tens of thousands of manuscripts supporting the Bible.
The Truth and authority of the Bible, especially today, stands in stark contrast to postmodern thought.
I’ve said this all my adult life. Back before I was a believer. Between my forced teen years of church and adult years of not going, I’d argue with my mom about this. She would get so angry because I said, “men put in it what they want you to know”I was young and very arrogant. Look at the origin of the King James Bible! If King James 8th would have had a boy with Catherine of Aragon (Spain) things might have been very different.
Those that wanted England Protestant were not very good men.
There’s several documentaries about books left out of the Bible.
Now that I’m older and have faith I believe God was in control of the Bible writings.
Especially the prophetic scripture. There’s to much that’s relatable to current events. (I don’t believe prophecy was for one time period.) Much of prophecy relates as much to events in the past as the current. I think because human nature has always been the same, Good vs Evil. We know more about the evil now because of technology.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
Now you are just willfully ignoring the things I said while also offering your personal interpretation of scripture (incorrect interpretation I might add).
"There is no prayer or spiritual experience outside of Him."
Loads of prayers are made to Mary and hundreds of saints. That doesn't mean they are put on higher pedestal than Jesus.
And to say there is no such things as spiritual experience (experience of spirits and spiritual nature) that doesn't include Jesus is just so patently absurd and incorrect and only shows you've probably never had a spiritual experience or connected to spiritual nature.
"The Bible gives us everything that we need for faith and godliness."
That's sad if you are limited to only the book and not the universe of spiritual understanding and knowledge that lies within and without that Jesus refers to. There was no book for the first few centuries and no single agreed upon text for the next thousand years. Are you saying every Christian for the first few centuries had no access to "faith and godliness" and truth?
Honestly your worldview sounds pretty shallow and close-minded and judgmental. Not very Godly.
Angels (the name means "messengers") can speak to us and we can speak to angels and learn from them. There's nothing wrong with that in and of itself. It doesn't remove Jesus from the throne or contradict any of the teachings.
As long as we are shrewd about which spirits, angels, and aspects of nature are benevolent, deceitful, or merely neutral, there's nothing wrong with interacting them, should the opportunity arise.
1 Timothy 2:5 - There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
Luke 4:8 - “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
There is absolutely no scriptural basis to pray to anyone other than God alone. There is no need to, either. Jesus, our Intercessor, has it covered. No one in heaven can mediate on our behalf except for Jesus Christ. Only God can hear and answer our prayers.
It isn't sad. It is the reality of Biblical Christianity. It is narrow and defined by God's Word.
Like the Constitution defines our government (much to liberal's chagrin), the Bible defines faith, godliness, worship and spirituality (much to liberal's chagrin).
Yep. My faith is rooted in God and Christ as my savior but don't go to church because none in my area actually follow the Bible. I much prefer fellowship with my customers and having impromptu service and Bible study in my restaurant.
I've been greatly enjoying going to a non denominational Christian church for about a month or so now, and while I believe that the wisdom and system of morality depicted in the bible is the blueprint for a healthy, productive, and morally sound society, I can't help but wonder if there's something more.
I've only recently begun to read the Bible for the first time, and it's already incredible to me how many layers of meaning are packed into that book. A surface level reading is a good place to start, but where I've seen the most growth personally is when I start to read into the symbolism and deeper meanings hidden in the Bible.
Once I have enough knowledge of the Bible under my belt, I'm really excited to dive into a book I was lent called "Q and the History of Early Christianity" by Christopher M. Tuckett. That's a coincidence I am greatly interested in learning about, lol.
Me too. I’m a Christian in that I believe the words of Jesus but think churches got the message wrong or distorted it to control people and/or get money and power. Jesus’ message was against that exact world system corruption - trying to teach how to live according to God’s system.
Uh....ever heard of Acts? What about the epistles written by Paul? They were written to different churches in existence at the time. Revelation talks about the seven churches. I'm a long way from being a Bible scholar but it's all right there in the Word. Also, I agree with your suspicions of the vatican.
They were Christian churches. (Post the crucifixion and ascension)
Acts 2:38-42 (The Establishment of the Church)
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized,(AX) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.(AY) And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(AZ) 39 The promise is for you and your children(BA) and for all who are far off(BB)—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”(BC) 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number(BD) that day.
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching(BE) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread(BF) and to prayer.(BG)
If you have Netflix or Showtime this series is a good reference. I watch a lot of historical dramas because I love history. After watching, I also research the facts vs the Hollywood version.
Borgias Family
This really shows how power hungry they were.
I don’t disagree if stones are to be thrown we should also look at Protestant “evangelist” or preachers. We might only see the big corporate churches and TV preachers today. It was going on long ago. Traveling preachers setting up a tent for revival. I don’t have have proof and haven’t researched this subject. I personally feel many human beings get greedy when they start getting money. I’ve heard all my life to tithe ten percent. I don’t but I know many that firmly hold to that for a lifetime.
So many people support Christian charities, missions & missionaries. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard give extra for this and that. I’m not saying all charities are crooked! I never give money if I don’t know where it’s going and who’s handling the books. I’d rather pick a few down and out people and help them with what they need. I don’t mean to imply my way is right. It works for me.
I was raised Roman Catholic...altar boy, Mom was/is a Lectern (every Sunday), CCD, Church Youth Group, Jesuit HS (all male)... a few of my classmates I found out were "raped" during my HS yrs...did not find out til' years after...Youth Group Leader was also indicted for abuse on boys as well..(found out yrs. later as well)..this "Pope" is pure evil and I want nothing to do with religion...I found spending a few mins sometimes multiple times a day "Speaking" with/to God helps...it was very hard for me to "turn away from the church"..glad I did.
I don’t remember where I saw another place like this. It had pews made of tree logs. They faced a clearing over the mountains. (Not sure if it’s USA or the state)
I love places like this.
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away. Their worship is a farce, for they replace God's commands with their own man-made teachings.” (Mark 7:7)
People love to replace God's commands with their own man-made teachings.
As it relates to how Christians should worship, Jesus said this:
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him” (John 4:23).
And He said this:
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ (Mark 12:30)
I had a hard time, for the longest time, coming to grips with the rampant pedophilia in the church. And this Pope is definitely evil, and likely a Freemason. However there’s a growing movement within the church. Dr Mark Taylor is one of the leaders, who asserts there’s been an infiltration of the church. It’s part of the Masonic/Satanic long game. And in my spiritual war journey, I’ve researched the power of Christ through certain Catholic tools, such as Holy Water, blessed medals, the power of our Lady Mother of God, blessed candles and oils, how exorcist priests can cast out demons with success over laity or other denominations. These things make me feel there are elements of Catholicism that hold power in the spiritual war.
Right now we have a pedophile President. Before Trump another child rapist, Obama with this shipment of hotdogs from Chicago. The office of President is tainted, our Congress is also a den of sick people, like Adam Schiff. Our country has been infiltrated by evil, just as the church has. To me the core elements of our country (and the church) are still are worth fighting for. I do not blame you for how you feel as I was once there for a huge portion of my adult life. But, now I stand firm with the likes of good Catholic men like Vigano, Dr Taylor, and Fr Altman.
I can’t understand or agree with the power of Holy Water. It’s boiled water!
I don’t believe anyone should be confusing to another person. A priest or anyone else doesn’t have the power to forgive anyone.
Please correct me if wrong. Doesn’t the Catholic Church pray to Mary? I understand why she’s an important person. I don’t understand praying to her.
I’m hesitant to post this because I don’t want to be judge mental of other religions. I believe for myself it’s more of misunderstanding. I want to understand other people’s experience’s and their religions.
We don’t pray TO Mary, we pray that she pray for us. We ask her to pray for us. Her presence will make demons flee, as she is the most powerful human to ever exist, naturally, because she housed God in her womb, and lived a life free from sin. She’s an anomaly the demon world cowers from when she shows her presence. Demons also hate Holy Water. It’s prayed over with holy intention. I really don’t understand how this is unfathomable to you when science has documented how water changes into a beautiful designs under a microscope when nice things are said to it. And conversely it looks depleted and depressed when bad things are said to it. Music also has an effect on water. In any event, in my dive into the spiritual war, like I said, demons hate holy water. And those possessed by demons really do feel pain when holy water is put on them. This is also documented.
Thank you for the explanation. I sincerely appreciate it. I’ll do research to have a better understanding of the Catholic faith. It’s very sad we are feed misconceptions about so much in the world. I’m guilty of not questioning if this was true. I’m wondering if these false beliefs came from other denominations, the Protestant’s. There was so much hate between the two groups!
Listen to the Malachi Martin/Art Bell interviews for some validation and deeper understanding of the evil infiltration. I'm not Catholic, but Martin helped me understand some things about how this world works.
I believe in a greater being but call bullshit on any and all humans defining the divine for others. In simpler terms, I refuse all man-made religions including the ones that claim they're not a religion (eg: totalitarian beliefs, eco-cult, etc)
As written by a man as the ten commandments.
Learn to differentiate between attacks on the actual words of your god and those on the hand that wrote it.
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
Something I think more of us will understand as we exit the Matrix and enter the clean air of God's presence, how we see things and what we see are so deeply influenced and often defined by the vantage point we adopt; our viewpoint determines in part what we see and how we see them.
I'm most certainly Christian, but I would not define Christian as necessarily having "formal religion".
For example, I certainly adhere to the maxim: "it's not about religion, it's about relationship". In this context, I see "religion" in whatever form or faith - Christian, buddhist, hindu, other, as being a "school" for learning and acquiring the principles and skills that allow a relationship to be formed with the Creator and with others.
Some may think this is a relativist viewpoint but no: my understanding of most faiths is that the Father inspired them and brought them into being via various messengers in order to prepare the way for those people to come closer to the point where they could receive and unite with Christ. So I'm not saying all religions (schools) are equal. I'm saying that they came into being divinely inspired as part of a process of bringing more and more people to the place where they can recognize, receive and unite with Christ.
Is it mere coincidence that the last prophet in the Old Testament who spearheaded a major reformation prior to the advent of Christ came 400 years before Christ, and that other teachers also emerged in that time frame? The teachers in Greece, the teachers in the East, and so forth? (no.)
Many forget that religion is a school; "re-ligio" to re-connect". But the purpose of school is not to remain in school forever. Rather, it is to learn what the school offers, infuse it, inherit it, embody it, and then graduate.
The purpose of formal (and informal) religion is to train us to be capable of building and growing a living relationship with the Creator (the Father) through a relationship with Christ.
When that relationship is living, live and full, then you begin to transcend religion. Not throwing it aside, but rather naturally embodying the value of it. Just as someone with a pure conscience and clean heart does NOT need the law to guide them, but rather, they transcend the law because their natural practice and character prevents them from doing that which the law is intended to proscribe.
I guess what I'm saying is, I'm a Christian, without a "formal" religion.
We all see those that have been hijacked, but consider the possibility that there exist those that have not been hijacked. I believe there are many out there.
I'm open to suggestions, and I believe there are grains of truth in them all, but at some certain point it just becomes a game of unraveling the lies and distortions throughout time, this creates chaos and confusion.
Belief in God is the opposite of chaotic and confusing and it doesn't require a sacred text to understand, it is felt intuitively by everyone.
God is a God of order. Christ organized a system and structure to spread His gospel to and develop (apostles, seventy, missionaries) as many people as possible. Without an organized church we may not have Bible today. Do churches sometimes become corrupted? Yes. Did conspiring men alter the Bible? Yes. But a lot of truth made it to our day, and without medieval churches I suspect we’d have no Bible.
In our day it’s tough to know which churches are not corrupt, which don’t manipulate for gain. Again I think you allude to the answer: God will let you know in your heart. Now, it takes time, research and even attendance at some of the candidate churches. But ask Him. He will let you know in His own way.
Being able to lift and be lifted by other like-minded people is a huge blessing for me. We lean on each other for strength. There are other advantages as well. You don’t have to have a fancy church for them, but someone must organize the structure (not necessarily physical), system, schedule, etc. My church has no paid clergy, we all organize it ourselves.
Matthew 6:6
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
I've been slowly getting into the Bible recently. I haven't subscribed to any formal belief system. I just have my own personal spiritual thoughts that may not coincide with most organized religious beliefs.
Check out New Age Bible Versions by G. Riplinger. Its a page turner for sure. I found it online recently for free but its worth buying hardcopy https://archive.org/details/NewAgeBibleVersionsRiplinger/page/n5/mode/2up Its absolutely mind blowing how the versions change even the supposed better ones like NASB and ESV are still powerful but have been manipulated sometimes straight up edited.
I did a post on this only a couple of days ago. It would seem that like everything else the deep state touches, it infiltrates to cause division. The King James Bible is being tossed aside, by a deliberate push, to undermine the Word of God. In fact, if you put up the same verse in the King James against any of the current ones, the modern ones actually in many instances are the OPPOSITE of what the King James says. Very subtle, very deliberate, but the result is always the same. Diluting and changing the most thorough translation of the Word of God, the King James. Satan is a counterfeit of God. Did you know that God’s Rainbow has 7 bands of colour (God’s number is 7) and the LBGT flag has 6 bands, which is the devil’s number? The devil always tries to copy God. It’s a counterfeit god. It replaces Love with lust. Peace with war. Truth with lies. Faithfulness with unfaithfulness. Patience with impatience. Self-Control with anger etc. Those who hate God and Jesus Christ will display the counterfeit of God in their lives. Their lives are spent destroying rather than building up. Right now we are experiencing the hate of the left, perhaps greater than in any time in our lives, but we must display these Fruits of the Spirit to be able to get us thru this! We cannot revert to a counterfeit lifestyle because that puts us squarely on satan’s turf . Is it no surprise that the very translation of the Holy Texts into what we know as The King James, would be twisted to put satan on the throne. Look into the history of the Masons. They present themselves as a benevolent society, doing good works to further their cause. But at the end of the day, they put satan on the throne. Ask yourself. Why is an Egyptian pyramid on the $ note? What are the 13 layers? Why a single eye at the top? What is the meaning of Novus ordo seclorum. It might shock you and you and I are living it today. https://youtu.be/P-IBzTqNQy4
KJV is God's word to English speaking people. No coincidence he preserved it in English for a time when the whole world would be rushing to speak it.
The idea that his Word was lost over time is just stupid. If God can speak the world into existence and loves it enough to give his only Son as a ransom for the world's sins, how would he allow his Word to be lost? Why give your Son to then allow your ultimate gift to be hidden?
Satan caused Eve to sin by twisting God's words, and today Bible "scholars" sit around twisting God's words saying the same thing, "Hath God truly said...?". The only time Jesus rejoiced in the Bible was when God was making fools of the religious elite.
Typical KJV Bibliolatry. There is no perfect translation nor an official in the eyes of God. Some are good like the NKJV and KJV but the ESV is right there with them. Then, there are the worst of the worst like the NIV.
All translations have been corrupted in varying degrees. Those who think that men cannot corrupt anything and everything physical over thousands or hundreds of years are foolishly naive. Nothing physical can be 100% trusted. Those who actually know God know these things.
A Bible is a useful tool but it's not necessary to walk with God. Abraham proved that as well as others. The problem that I see with Christianity, as a whole, is that they'll worship anything but God.
Chris Pinto from Adullam Films has done a brilliant 3 part (so far) documentary where he gives compelling evidence to show that after the KJV was published, the Vatican launched the counter-reformation and using the Jesuits, forged the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus as a way to undermine the authority of the bible, since the KJV is translated from the Textus Receptus and the two former manuscripts are claimed to be older and therefore more authoritive, and the motto from the reformation was "Sola Scriptura", undermining the authority of the Pope.
A Lamp in the Dark: The Untold History of the Bible
The Bible says God preserves His Words and that His Word exceeds even His name in glory. The only way we have to know who God is is through his Words. Everything else is of this world or from our own minds and hearts, but the Bible says our hearts are deceitful and wicked and our minds are vain. "Knowing God" without the Bible is deluding yourself.
Self proclaimed "Christianity" as a whole today isn't born again and worship self created "Jesuses" and idols, so don't worry about what they're doing. Trust in the blood, get saved, and you'll only have to tolerate it for a few decades here. Otherwise you're stuck with them for an eternity in Hell.
The only way to get to know God is through the Bible? That's a lie from Hell. What about all the believers before Moses was given the law? It says that Abraham kept all of God's laws and statutes. If your theory is correct, then how is that possible?
No, dude, you need to know the Author first and foremost before you can understand the big picture of the book.
Adam had God's words, Noah had God's words, Abraham had God's words, Isaac had God's words, Jacob had God's words, even off in the Eastern world Job had God's words, Moses had God's words, and wrote them down so we all have God's words.
Some will never hear God's words but they still sin against their God-given consciences and the Bible says a conscience is enough to be held accountable. In the New Testament, God promises if someone has a heart to repent He'll bring the gospel to them.
However, the only 8 people who listened to God's words of likely billions escaped the flood, if that's any indication of how "Godly minded" people are. Bible is as available as porn today, we all know which people are more interested in.
So...No, dude, you need to know the book first and foremost before you can understand the big picture of the Author.
I have no doubt that demonic influence has corrupted many modern Bible versions and that the KJV should be taken as the authoritative version, but the book does a disservice to that argument by lying and misrepresenting basic facts and quotations.
Well, the reviewer of that link seems to be a reasonable man and he is also in the KJV Only camp. Maybe you could take a look if he had anything he wrote. To be honest I am not really familiar with the best and most well-known books on the subject, but I did find this:
This seems quite down-to-earth and easy to understand as a resource on why we should use the KJV. As for evidence of corruption on new bible committees though I think you would have to look elsewhere for research.
Epic book!! I took it to a Bible conference back in the day and everyone was giving me the stink eye. I knew I was different even back then - somehow these people didn’t want to see the corruption of the church and Bible
I believe Jesus is our savior and died, and rose, to resolve our sin and make us acceptable to God the Father. Jesus is the only path to this. Jesus did this for each of us personally and religion has no place in it. I believe God’s word is self evident truth. God reveals the the end from the beginning and Jesus was foretold from Genesis on. The Old Testament is to show us our folly and prove who Christ is. Without the Old the New would just be stories. Thank you God for your truth and our salvation through the Son. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that guides us on our path to be with you. 1 Thessalonians 4-16-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Titus 2:13. Focused on God’s promises and joyfully waiting on our blessed hope in these turbulent times.
Yeah...what did the Apostle Paul know? (He was only taught individually by Jesus for three years.)
That aside, do you buy that Jesus stuff:
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Agree to disagree. Constantine ok'd the biblical canon. Constantine was the dictator that brought about the Dark Ages. He adopted Christianity and used it as a weapon. In the words of Mormon historian James Talmage (I'm not a Mormon, but Talmage nails the history here):
When Constantine the Great came to the throne in the first quarter of the fourth century, a radical change was inaugurated in the attitude of the state toward the church.
The emperor straightway made the so-called Christianity of the time the religion of his realm; and zealous devotion to the church became the surest recommendation to imperial favor.
But the church was already in great measure an apostate institution and even in crude outline of organization and service bore but remote resemblance to the Church of Jesus Christ, founded by the Savior and builded through the instrumentality of the apostles.
Whatever vestiges of genuine Christianity may have possibly survived in the church before, were buried beyond the sight of man by the abuses that followed the elevation of the churchly organization to secular favor through the decree of Constantine.
The emperor, even though unbaptized, made himself the head of the church, and priestly office was more sought after than military rank or state preferment. The spirit of apostasy, by which the church had become permeated before Constantine threw about it the mantle of imperial protection and emblazoned it with the insignia of state, now was roused to increased activity as the leaven of Satan's own culture flourished under the conditions most favorable for such fungoid growth....
Under the tyrannous repression incident to usurped and unrighteous domination by the Roman church, civilization was retarded and for centuries was practically halted in its course. The period of retrogression is known in history as the Dark Ages.
It was Constantine that OK'd the letters of Paul to be included in the Bible. It was Constantine who invited idolatry into "the church", so it's no wonder he was keen to have Paul define Christ's doctrine, no matter how ridiculous it sounded when held up to the four gospels. If you think Paul's letters got it right, I think you need to spend a little more time reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Idolatry is idolatry is idolatry.
Nah...long before Constantine, 21 books were acknowledged by all Christians (the 4 Gospels, Acts, 13 Paul, 1 Peter, 1 John, Revelation). There were 10 disputed books (Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 2-3 John, Jude, Ps-Barnabas, Hermas, Didache, Gospel of Hebrews) and several that most all considered heretical—Gospels of Peter, Thomas, Matthaias, Acts of Andrew, John, etc
"All Christians." I don't think you can prove that. Regardless, I'm glad we have what we have, but like I said, I don't think Paul got it right. Idolatry is idolatry is idolatry. Jesus was his golden calf one way or the other.
Remember those old pocket bibles with just the gospels?
I pretty much consider myself a “red text only” kind of dude. No Paul the faggot faker bitch apostle. No Old Testament animal sacrifice ritual genital mutilating Retardation.
Just Jesus and what he taught according to our best known sources, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says God preserves His Words(Not his thoughts, principles, etc. but his Words) and that His Words exceed his name in glory.
The Textus Receptus is the lineage of documents that resulted in the KJV and comprise of 98% of historical texts. All other modern translations descend from Alexandrian texts, primarily those literally found in a trashcan in a Catholic Church, and were mostly refined in modern times by Wescott and Hortt, two admittedly unsaved, unbelieving men without the Holy Spirit who changed God's words to align with their own understanding of what the Bible said.
Modern neo-evangelicals would rather change God's words to suit themselves than change themselves to suit God's words, so you get 200+ "modern Bibles". Of course, all these "Bibles" will be out of date someday while God's true words will still be up-to-date in a million years.
"The Bible" doesn't say anything. The authors that make up the books of the Bible do. Some of them I trust more than others. As for Constantine, the despot who compiled the Bible and gave the world the Dark Ages, I don't trust much.
Nor do I trust Paul. What he says about Christ and salvation I simply don't buy. As I said, twice now, Paul's take on Christianity smacks of repackaged idolatry. Now you worship a man instead of an idol, but since you call that man God, you think it's ok.
Well, I don't think Jesus thought that was ok. This is the man that said "Come, follow me." Not "Come, worship me." This is the man who asked why Peter doubted after walking on water, not "guess it was just my will that you sink." This is the man that said "Is it not written in your law, 'I have said, ye are Gods. Children of the Most High.'" As well as "According to YOUR faith be it done unto you" and "Be ye therefore perfect, even as thy Father in Heaven is perfect."
Jesus saved mankind from the Fall of Adam and Eve. This I believe. But the fall of Adam and Even was not literal, it was figurative/spiritual, and it happens the moment we believe the lie that Paul peddled--that we're filthy and unworthy to stand in the presence of God.
Jesus came and said "Bullshit. You ARE Gods. Now act like it."
That's literally what caused Lucifer to fall from heaven, and it's the same sales pitch he made to Eve. They each wanted to be like God. You're saying salvation is to take Satan's offer.
He is. Jesus Christ IS the Father IS the Spirit. It is ONE God in three roles, not persons. We were made in His image, right? I'm a man, a son and a father but I am one. There isn't three of me running around.
You have a mind, body, and spirit. So does God, Father(mind), Jesus(body), and Holy Spirit(spirit). You were created after a trinity.
In the Old Testament a person's physical life was tied to their soul. Physical death was the same as a soul being cut off. In the New Testament, a born again Christian's soul becomes cut off from their body. The soul "divorces" the mortal body and becomes "married" to the body of Christ. Romans 7 describes that since the original husband, the mortal body, is dead, the soul is free to remarry the new risen body of Christ into life. Unsaved people, attached to their dead body, follow it into the grave which is why they "die in their sins". God throws all sins into Hell, and people still attached to their sins go to Hell with them.
So yes, not only is God in multiple places at once, but Christians are too.
no but wow - what an awesome and simple concept: youtube.com/watch?v=clFLBt4D27M
He described it in a letter to John Adams dated October 12, 1813:
In extracting the pure principles which he taught, we should have to strip off the artificial vestments in which they have been muffled by priests, who have travestied them into various forms, as instruments of riches and power to them. We must dismiss the Platonists & Plotinists, the Stagyrites & Gamalielites, the Eclectics the Gnostics & Scholastics, Logos & Demi-urgos, Aeons & Daemons male & female, with a long train of Etc. Etc. Etc. or, shall I say at once, of Nonsense. We must reduce our volume to the simple evangelists, select, even from them, the very words only of Jesus, paring off the Amphibologisms into which they have been led, by forgetting often, or not understanding, what had fallen from him, by giving their own misconceptions as his dicta, and expressing unintelligibly for others what they had not understood themselves. There will be found remaining the most sublime and benevolent code of morals which has ever been offered to man. I have performed this operation for my own use, by cutting verse by verse out of the printed book, and arranging the matter which is evidently his, and which is as easily distinguishable as diamonds in a dunghill. The result is an 8vo of 46 pages of pure and unsophisticated doctrines
dude calm down. not everyone accepts the religious canon as it is.
imo the early church was infiltrated by saul, sent from roman authority, to control the movement. classic controlled opposition. also, saul publicly and viciously tortured most of the disciples first. then he saw the light somehow, yeah ok fuck that shit.
plus he muddied up the morals jesus taught with his absurd and overly complicated rules about jew vs gentile this and that meat dont eat it, circumcise dont circumcise, work on the sabbath or dont blah blah blah.
Jesus is the principle founder of the faith and his words alone were enough to cause the entire region at the time to plot to stop him and his movement.
I really love this perspective. I pretty much feel like any and all dogmatic religion is evil garbage, but that the people & entities described therein are often worth listening to. I do not follow any one man or entity over another, but Jesus is among those whose words & lessons I appreciate and follow to an extent. And Jesus is not the "say all, end all" for me--he is simply one part of my broader belief system!
The most anti religion person to ever live was Jesus. Religion and worshiping God are two different things. Jesus said he hated the Nicolaitans. The word Nicolaitans comes from the word Niko---to lord over--and Laity is the people. Do you know of any religion where the clergy RULES over the people? Kek
‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God." (Matthew 15:8-9)
He was pro worship in this way:
"Yet a time is coming and has now come(A) when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit(B) and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit,(C) and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23)
And pro worship this way:
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Matt. 22:37)
Jesus went months without going to church and continually broke the traditional way of doing things. He practiced forgiveness and kindness. If we live in Christ we will be able to treat others as He did.
I believe in a Creator, and that Christ probably existed, and in the morals and SOME lessons provided by the Bible as as way to live a fulfilling, and moral life.
I do not believe in the BIBLE. I think it was written by Men, not God. Some is a practical JEWISH history (I'm not Jewish-don't care), but mostly it's metaphors, fictional stories, and myths created to entertain, explain the unexplainable or, like Aesops Fables, moral lessons. Man wrote the Bible for his own reasons. IMO, it would be like Humans 2500 years from now believing Silmarillion (Tolkien) is a factual account of history. Like Jefferson, I believe 99.% of the Bible should be tossed, or treated like any ancient fictional saga--with a great deal of study and inquiry but also a Great Deal of skepticism. God Told Me is nothing new. Jerry Falwell used it in modern times. If you look at Abraham from a modern, critical POV, he was definitely suffering from Schizophrenia. I could go on and on for a whole book on why the Bible is suspect simply from a reasoning, logical POV, including a whole book on why I, and many Biblical scholars, believe Paul (the founder of the Church) was a false prophet, liar, and con-artist. Everything he wrote should be burned in entirety, with prejudice.
If you want to read it, cool. But for me, I can't take the Bible seriously. It tweaks my nipples when Atheists use the Bible as an argument for why God doesn't exist, or you shouldn't believe in God. To me the two have nothing to do with one another. God (creator) Exists. The Bible is fiction written by Man to explain God.
I'll even go one further and state I believe, without doubt, God didn't create Man in His image. Man Created God in His image to explain what he couldn't explain. God, IMO, is not who any of you think IT is. It is inexplicable, beyond your human comprehension, so vast, so powerful, so Beyond Human you could not even See IT much less ever explain IT's existence. To believe your meager human mind Could explain God or what IT is --or God Forbid, Speak for GOD?---is the height of human arrogance and pride.
Very well articulated and put here. I resonate with most of everything you have layed out and is a breath of fresh air to see, although, obvious minority on "this" forum, a fellow introspective unconstrained and humble approach to thought belief and speaking to human arrogance displayed enabling the tool of Man made scripture and word of a higher power written by-----Man.
You're doing your last sentence. The Bible is supernatural and from outside of our time domain. It's impossible for men to have created it. Most people don't like the Bible because they love drinking, porn, and being their own gods in their minds for a few decades until, despite their intellect, they die like everyone else.
"The Masoretic Text is a traditional Hebrew text finalized by Jewish scholars around 1000 C.E. The Septuagint is a Greek translation of the Torah created by the Jews of Alexandria in the third century B.C.E. (The other books of the Hebrew Bible were translated over the course of the following century.) According to Septuagint tradition, at least 70 isolated ancient scholars came up with identical Greek translations of the Torah.
Which is the “original” Bible? How do we decide which of these two ancient texts is more authoritative? In “Searching for the ‘Original’ Bible” in the July/August 2014 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, Hebrew University of Jerusalem scholar and long-time editor-in-chief of the Dead Sea Scrolls publication team Emanuel Tov suggests we turn to the Dead Sea Scrolls to help us compare the Masoretic Text and the Septuagint."
Mostly copied from other texts by men to new texts in new languages that Men use. Written on paper men created, in ink (or whatever people used back then) Then Men decided which text would go in the Bible and which would be declared Apocrypha.
Do you hear yourself? This is like me saying, I don't understand how baths worked in Roman times. Must be Magic.
Seth - (is) appointed (Eve said "God has appointed me a son...")
Enosh - mortal
Kenan - sorrow
Mahalalel - The blessed God
Jerod - shall come down
Enoch - Teaching
Methuselah - His death shall bring (Year he died the flood began)
Lamech - (the) despair(ing)
Noah - comfort/rest
If you're interested in prophecy, consider that the Christian gospel has been in a Jewish genealogy since Moses wrote it in roughly 1500 BC. Given that Noah is the last common ancestor we all have, that means we all have the gospel in our genealogy. Kind of cool and couldn't have been forged as the Jews themselves killed the Messiah, and even Jesus's followers didn't understand what happened immediately afterward.
Christianity is a faith and relationship with God through Jesus nothing more nothing less. I was raised Catholic and as soon as I could read I understood that the Pope was b******* and that everything that they had built up around the gospel was nothing more than misdirection and lies meant to enslave us.
Born again - believe that the Bible is the literal Word of God, Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless perfect life, died on a cross to pay the price for our sins, rose on the third day, and will return for His church soon. Salvation is through faith alone. Jesus is LORD!
I've been searching for years, always believed in God, but didn't know much about the Bible until Q came along & I connected the drops to the Q-Source. easier to understand what's going on now
I don't know how to answer this. My mother never baptized me and I never went and got myself baptized. However I have gone to & given to the church for over 20 years. I sent my children through Catholic school, primary & secondary.
My grandmother was a strict Catholic. It always impressed me & some rubbed off on me.
Baptism is a representative action taken to symbolize how we die to and leave the satanic empire of the earth and are reborn into the spirit of God. You can always get baptized if you want to.
Spiritual without formal religion.
Same
Same.
Same
Yeh but Allah them are truthful at least...
I'm aware of Sikhs arent Muslim....it's called PUNS using word substitutes, in this case various religions.
Dude...🤦♂️...I think you're a little Confucious.😏
The wit you exude… wow🤭👌
Ok. I will whip myself with 1000 lashes because my repetitive comment upset your royal horses ass.
Same. I'm Christian without formal religion.
The word “new age” is a bastardization of many lost traditional beliefs from ancient civilizations where a lot of our myths come from.
u/burmeister
Pretty much my story.
Different but 2015-2016
Except I wasn't religious at all but I did pray now and again in my own way. And I had no idea what i was being involved in. I was pulled into it and i was clueless.
My life is so strange its literally like my life is engineered.
It is mutually exclusive according to Jesus.
While a spiritual realm exists (the dead, spiritists, etc.), we are not supposed to talk to them or worship them.
We have one Intercessor, one High Priest. The His name is Jesus. He is a jealous God. There is no prayer or spiritual experience outside of Him.
The Bible gives us everything that we need for faith and godliness.
It is mutually exclusive.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
Exodus 20:5
What is? Be specific.
Salvation, Faith, Godliness, Right Christian Living
And how is any of that "mutually exclusive according to Jesus", with anything I said?
Salvation:
John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am(A) the way(B) and the truth(C) and the life.(D) No one comes to the Father except through me.(E)
Acts 4:12
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Yep. My faith is rooted in God and Christ as my savior but don't go to church because none in my area actually follow the Bible. I much prefer fellowship with my customers and having impromptu service and Bible study in my restaurant.
I think this touches souls far more than most brick and mortar churches! You’re awesome to spread the good word in such a way!
Strangely enough, I totally relate.

The Vatican has always been about money, control and power for a select group.

If you have Netflix or Showtime this series is a good reference. I watch a lot of historical dramas because I love history. After watching, I also research the facts vs the Hollywood version.
Borgias Family This really shows how power hungry they were.

100% agreed.
My pastor always says that "Christianity shouldn't be a religion, it should be a relationship". Be blessed fren.
This is correct….the downvoter is wrong.
Yes why was that downvoted
Likely a brow beaten catholic unwilling to seek the truth. I’m not even kidding.
Lol I know you aren’t ..brow beaten ..so funny, I use that term a lot..hahaaa
great way to put it...thanks fren..
Religion is that which is owed to God.
And you as well, yes agree, could not find a church that “fit” Mother Earth is my church, I thank God and Jesus for her everyday.
You might want to check this out if you are ever in the Appalachian mountains, SC. It’s on my list.
https://www.scpictureproject.org/greenville-county/symmes-chapel.html/amp
I don’t remember where I saw another place like this. It had pews made of tree logs. They faced a clearing over the mountains. (Not sure if it’s USA or the state) I love places like this.
Wow that is beautiful thank you God bless.
Jesus was against religion too. Remember his retorts to the Pharisees?
Probably not in the way insinuated here.
This was His problem with the Pharisees:
Christians ARE modern day Pharisees, spiritual ancestors.
They dont represent Jesus but Satan.
EDIT: Dr Taylor Marshall as my Fren points out!
Dr. Mark Taylor?
Do you maybe mean Taylor Marshall?
🤦♀️ Yes
I didn't want to say anything but I decided to juuuuust in case others go looking for a name and information. You silly goose.
No, thank you for clarifying! Idk I’m terrible with names.
thanks fren...
Listen to the Malachi Martin/Art Bell interviews for some validation and deeper understanding of the evil infiltration. I'm not Catholic, but Martin helped me understand some things about how this world works.
I like Art Bell...I will..appreciate it
I believe in a greater being but call bullshit on any and all humans defining the divine for others. In simpler terms, I refuse all man-made religions including the ones that claim they're not a religion (eg: totalitarian beliefs, eco-cult, etc)
So I suppose I fall under this category.
Nice to see another enlightened free of definition, constraints and grounded fellow individual.
Much to the chagrin of liberalism and postmodernism, like the Constitution is to our form of government, the Bible, God's Word, is to Christianity.
The Bible is the Truth and is the authority on God, salvation, right Christian living, prayer, worship, etc.
The Bible is written by God and its contained truth is not defined by man.
Which part?
The Bible is not the truth and authority on salvation?
As written by a man as the ten commandments. Learn to differentiate between attacks on the actual words of your god and those on the hand that wrote it.
God did write it.
20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
Yes me too
Hmmmm. What an interesting thread.
Organized religion seems to bring nothing but confusion and chaos. The messengers have long had their messages distorted by time and corruption.
God is the simple truth.
Agreed. "They" lied to us about everything else; what makes anyone think they were honest about the most important part.
Christians are the ones who turned me away from Christ. Most are crooked AF.
I have a good relationship with god and I pray only for guidance. The world shows me the way because I pay attention.
Have you checked out the Orthodox Church?
I think your post has some of the answers.
God, Jesus and Trump are the simple truth. Everything else is either filler or a distraction.
Matthew 6:6 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
I love this
I've been slowly getting into the Bible recently.
Tares Among the Wheat
Bridge to Babylon
You got my updoot too. I wish I could find a 1995 NASB MacArthur study bibe.
They are out there. Here ya go:
https://www.mardel.com/Bibles/Bible-Translations/NASB-New-American-Standard-Bible/NASB-95-MacArthur-Study-Bible--Second-Edition-Hardcover-Gray/p/3860285
I updoot that...
I read some of the book but it contains many factual inaccuracies that discredit the point being made. See the review quoted on archive.org: https://www.wayoflife.org/database/newagebibleversions.html
I have no doubt that demonic influence has corrupted many modern Bible versions and that the KJV should be taken as the authoritative version, but the book does a disservice to that argument by lying and misrepresenting basic facts and quotations.
you got something better I can look at? thx for the reply
Well, the reviewer of that link seems to be a reasonable man and he is also in the KJV Only camp. Maybe you could take a look if he had anything he wrote. To be honest I am not really familiar with the best and most well-known books on the subject, but I did find this:
https://archive.org/details/sam-gipp-the-answer-book-a-helpful-book-for-christians/
This seems quite down-to-earth and easy to understand as a resource on why we should use the KJV. As for evidence of corruption on new bible committees though I think you would have to look elsewhere for research.
Thanks so much
thanks contained in that link were better books, much appreciated
Epic book!! I took it to a Bible conference back in the day and everyone was giving me the stink eye. I knew I was different even back then - somehow these people didn’t want to see the corruption of the church and Bible
What kind of eye was God giving you?
I'm not catholic. I follow Christ, because He saves and there's nothing I could do on my own to attain heaven.
Live as He instructs. Not easy, but right.
I don't buy that Paul stuff.
According to Paul.
I thought I said I did.
According to Scripture
Agree to disagree. Constantine ok'd the biblical canon. Constantine was the dictator that brought about the Dark Ages. He adopted Christianity and used it as a weapon. In the words of Mormon historian James Talmage (I'm not a Mormon, but Talmage nails the history here):
Amen
I just upvoted your comment to 7. Satan has no place here
In fact, I upvoted the next two comment you 7 as well. Seems Satan is in your rear view friend.
I'm Buddhist, grew up in Thailand. But I will fight with anyone against evil... and what's going on now is evil.
Not religious or particularly spiritual, but culturally Christian.
I follow Christ and study His teachings, but I'd likely get kicked out of church for being too independently minded.
What about Christian but from a non organized religion stance?
I’m a Jesus follower.
I follow the teachings and model of Jesus.
Christianity is satanic and Judaic trash.
What about the red text where Jesus says he's the same as the God from the Old Testament?
Guess that depends on how accurate and authoritative you consider the version of the Bible you read to be.
THAT is salvation.
The Trinity Doctrine is trash
Have you looked into the Jefferson Bible?
no but wow - what an awesome and simple concept: youtube.com/watch?v=clFLBt4D27M
He described it in a letter to John Adams dated October 12, 1813:
First off, Paul wrote thirteen books and was one of the most important figures of the early church aside from Saint Peter himself.
Secondly, the Old Testament is part of Christianity and is necessary reading. Christ's birth was prophesized in the Old Testament.
Thirdly how the FUCK did this retarded drivel get 6 upvotes?
dude calm down. not everyone accepts the religious canon as it is.
imo the early church was infiltrated by saul, sent from roman authority, to control the movement. classic controlled opposition. also, saul publicly and viciously tortured most of the disciples first. then he saw the light somehow, yeah ok fuck that shit.
plus he muddied up the morals jesus taught with his absurd and overly complicated rules about jew vs gentile this and that meat dont eat it, circumcise dont circumcise, work on the sabbath or dont blah blah blah.
Jesus is the principle founder of the faith and his words alone were enough to cause the entire region at the time to plot to stop him and his movement.
nothing else is necessary.
Jesus said that he was the end all and be all and that there was no other way.
I can agree with this.
Kek
Jesus was anti-religion in this way:
‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
What people did he speak of?
People that honored Him with their lips, but their hearts were far from Him. People who taught man-made ideas and not the commands of God.
Jesus went months without going to church and continually broke the traditional way of doing things. He practiced forgiveness and kindness. If we live in Christ we will be able to treat others as He did.
I keep preaching this we dont need a church.
Follower of Christ the King🙏
Yes, strictly "homeschooled". Don't attend a church and not a member of any denomination.
My body is the Temple.
I am both, it's complicated.
The basis of anyone who believes in God has to come from this point to start. You use a point of humility which most do not.
I’ve never been a believer, but prophecies in the Bible are coming to pass in front of my eyes, so now I’m starting to think I might have been wrong.
Adam - Man
Seth - (is) appointed (Eve said "God has appointed me a son...")
Jesus is my savior! hallelujah!
All anyone needs is Christ Jesus. He Is the Vine, the Door, the Key. All the rest is man getting in the way. Humble down, ask Jesus to be your Savior.
Saved by Jesus, trying to follow Him and proud to tell others about Him.
I've been searching for years, always believed in God, but didn't know much about the Bible until Q came along & I connected the drops to the Q-Source. easier to understand what's going on now

Nov 3rd, 2020 and the evil that commenced is what turned me from lukewarm and mehhh to diehard.
Crimes against God and his ppl occurred on a massive scale. When that happens, even the most lukewarm people begin to boil
Hindu here, but there is something good that can be learned from any religion and should be put into (as much as possible) daily practice
Not religious but I thank my higher power that billions of people are, we need every last one of them.
Born again Christian since age five
Christian here
I believe in God, not religion. God is the way for the ages, religion is the way of the day. Praise God, NCSWIC WWG1WGA
Thanks for the down toot Satan! ╭∩╮(・◡・)╭∩╮
Jesus Christ is the name that repels demons (aliens).
Atheist
How about Jewish but I take it seriously?
How do you perform the sacrifices without a temple?
Atonement can be done through prayers, fasting, Teshuvah.
Knowledge of the sacrifices is preserved for the day the Third Temple is built. Whenever that is.
Would be very interesting to see some of those sacrifices resume in this day and age.
The way it's stated on the dog tag I earned in basic at Ft Sill is Christian, Non Denom.
