I got word from my cousin, who is a longshoreman. On October 1st, longshoremen will be shutting down all East Coast ports from Texas to Maine. Nothing will be offloaded from the ships coming into these ports.
While some goods may trickle in from the West Coast, you can expect prices of those goods to double, possibly triple.
The rising cost of goods will be blamed on the Biden/Harris regime. This could propel Trump even further. My cousin believes that this strike could last a month or more because no one is budging.
Stay safe frens.
Can confirm, my buddy works at the Port of Elizabeth as a lasher and he called me to warn me as well. He said it could be quick or long and ugly but they want their money!
The Railroad workers tried this in 2022 due to CBA not passing and everyone was ready to strike and the Biden regime forced them to take the agreement and they said if you strike consider that your resignation! I can see this happening with the longshoremen as well.
I've been talking to him.
He said that during covid, they lost 100 men. He said that one of the CEOs took home almost a billion dollars in bonuses.
He said that if the strike goes on for a week, it will take until mid-November to catch up, and if it goes on for two weeks, then it will take until March 2025 to catch up. If it goes on for a month, then the ports will not be caught up until around 2026.
The way he is talking though, in 18 days, this country will come to a stand-still.
Is there any talk of an ILWU support shut down?
Not that I am aware of.
Can we get a RemindMe! bot to help with things like this? So many predictions…. I’d like to revisit in a timely manner without tracking separately on my own.
'Remindme bot' . I sleep with one every night. They can get a bit annoying, but I do appreciate the reminders from time to time. Never ends...
Mine is a honeydo bot...
Hahahahahahaha!!! Fren, you started my day with a smile, thank you 😊
Lol
Fucking awesome response
Go to your app screen on your phone. Click calendar. Choose the date you want. Put in a message to yourself. Done.
Well... DUH, but I'd rather not have my calendar filled with that.
I was just teasing fren!
Have a great weekend!
u/#trumpflag
No offense fren but I'll believe it when I see it - I remember when the ship crashed into the bridge and it was supposed to cause total chaos at the ports for a year, and literally nothing happened. Not even a blip in the supply chain. Houthis shooting at ships and blowing them up in the Middle East and oil has done nothing. If there's one thing I've learned, nothing matters until it matters.
Also “The Cargo Ship Crisis”
And the truck convoy...
Well this one quite literally does match the 2 more week stuff lol.
We’re at 2 more months so….
Two more weeks lol
None taken; however, it's better to be safe than sorry.
I’ve been stocked up for a long time now yet nothing ever materializes.
Granted, we are coming to the precipice. November 5th is the precipice; if not before.
I’ve cut back on stockpiling and just decided to commandeer my lib neighbor supplies if shit hits the fan, since they voted for this.
You know they aren't armed
There are more liberals with guns than you might realize. Going into a situation like that assuming that only conservatives have guns is a good way to get a nasty surprise.
It's also a good way to add to your arsenal.
I better get another safe....
Nov 5 may not even be the precipice
Jan 6, guess who has to certify the election result - bet we won't hear much cackling then
Yes, but if she decides not to certify; I will bet there won't be any talk of an insurrection from any of the media.
Would be quite the boomerang if Pence could have refused to certify, but Kamala has to certify, all because they changed the law due to the J6 charade.
There will, because this time, armed measures will have to be taken by SOMEBODY...we cannot simply let this nation fall to totalitarian communism. These armed measures by Patriots to preserve democracy—meaning the type of representative government that only a Constitutional Republic can provide—will be falsely labeled as insurrection.
Comfy AF though, since Trump continues to remind us, with great strength and frequency, that we are not going to let them rig and steal the 2024 election.
I hope it doesn't come to armed measures needing to be taken by us, but if it does-we will be ready. And, I hope your second paragraph is correct!
Comfy is a state of mind we all choose for ourselves.
Kind of like how there can be a fierce bloody battle raging in a war-torn city hellscape during a torrential thunderstorm; but to folks on a plane flying above the dark cloud cover in the sunshine, they're floating in a peaceful waking-dream state.
The war-torn hellscape is the CIABCNNBCBS fake version of reality. The peaceful waking-dream state is for anons with a Qlue, who understand that light dispels the darkness and that NCSWIC and WWG1WGA are not just slogans.
Great way of putting the explanation, thanks!
Always a good idea to be stocked up as a just in case.... you never know when the SHTF.
You will hear about the strike on the news in the next few weeks.
So is this because of a strike by the longshoremen or something else? And if it's a strike, what's the reason for the strike? What kinds of items do they ship, everything from food to necessities? Trying to figure out what we need to stock up on.
All I can share is what I was told. I am unsure of the reason as to why they're striking. He suggested the following.
Supplies, diapers, formula, meds & canned goods.
They're striking because Maersk won't agree to a raise. All the other carriers agreed to give the longshoremen a raise since they worked all through covid. Maersk is the largest carrier and they refuse, and are trying to break the union over a pay raise when profits are at an all-time record. I'll post a video from their union leader once I find it.
Typical greedy fucks...
I’m a capitalist. I believe strongly in capitalism and its ability to lift people from poverty.
But when your company is making record profits, yet refuses to give you a raise, and your CEO gets a bonus of almost a BILLION dollars. Yeah, the term greddy fucks most certainly applies here.
Thanks!
Boeing just went on strike also. I imagine spare parts for all Boeing planes may be in jeopardy soon as well.
I did some sleuthing and found this:
What kind of goods are shipped from longshoreman on the east coast?
Source:
Potential port strike has retailers, manufacturers scrambling East Coast and Gulf Coast ports handle about 43% of all US imports
https://www.freightwaves.com/news/potential-port-strike-has-retailers-manufacturers-scrambling
More of a reason to make/produce/grow this stuff here.
It truly is. Think of the cost to transport. Yes, they make it cheaper overseas, but how can we control the quality? And if we reduce the transportation costs, maybe the manufacturing costs being more if made here, will be offset by no transport fees.
Worth doing, for sure.
So I probably need to get my Christmas shopping done now (since I'm already stocked up on "goods").
That's what I'm thinking.
It would be a good wake up call to show we should be producing these items domestically.
Your comment might get lost in the thread but I agree w you. Right now this all seems like fear mongering, but if this does happen, well, ppl gonna learn about world trade and logistics. They either learn this way, or they learn when Trump kicks up the tariffs. (good thing either way) Let us be self sufficient. Shills gonna call me a nationalist notsee kek
I feel like the entire covid plandemic was the supply chain wake up call. Will we learn our lessons?
As long as people are addicted to cheap Chinese shit, nothing is going to change. I believe it should change but people are addicts to cheap shit.
Valid points
Thanks for the heads-up.
anytime Fren.
Sticky request.
Send a deport.
Complied with. Info like this is why WE ARE THE NEWS. Love this place.

"Nobody has any idea what that means, I'll cripple you, I'll cripple you" ... ILA President Harold J Daggott.
"First week it's on the news, 2nd week - car dealerships can't restock and start considering layoffs, third week - construction companies can't get lumber or steel, fourth week - malls and retailers start closing down due to empty shelves, all those jobs lost".
Mass layoffs, shortages in supply causing prices to skyrocket farther than they did during covid, etc.
Daggott even said, yeah, the President will enact xyz laws to force us back to work for 60 days but then it all falls to shit. It will be so much better for everyone if the guys making 100's of billions a year in profits just pay my guys what they are worth.
When this nation loses 43% of its imports and raw materials, prices will not rise a mere 57%. With west coast to east transport, you are looking at 400% increases in the cost of goods while 30% of the nation becomes unemployed. Couple that with 20 million or so illegal criminals' new arrival and we are not looking at a Merry Christmas.
Those dock guys make lots of money already.
And they should be making even more. Just like all of us should. Someone who made 80k per year in 1978 would be making 246k now. Why aren't we? What happened in 1971?
https://wtfhappenedin1971.com/
I think what happened was the idea that CEOs of companies were entitled to much more than the worker bees started gaining popularity.
Corporate greed, basically.
https://www.epi.org/publication/ceo-pay-in-2022/
I'm just going to point out that there seems to be a big shift in the attitude concerning wages in the US in a rarely short amount of time.
If back during the Great Recession someone were to complain about not making enough money and saying people should be getting living wages, they would be given a lecture on how Capitalism works, told to work harder, get a better job, go back to college, learn how to save money, and pull themselves up from their bootstraps.
But now you see even conservative people saying the wage imbalance in the US is ridiculous and making the same arguments that liberals were making during the Great Recession.
The plan of the [criminals] is to destroy the middle class.
The Federal Reserve artificially lowering and the raising interest rates, along with the feds overspending (with Kevin McCarthy making sure there is no more debt ceiling), is the one-two punch that has caused all the distruption.
Need:
Anything short of that is just mental masturbation.
....you are correct
Getting rid of income tax & the IRS would solve that raise issue.
Hey - I think we should all order any 'meds' we need for the impending pre-election 'flu' pandemic right now before the shipment is stopped!
Got my supply of ivermectin.
Sounds precipice-y.
Were blaming Harris for the longshoremen striking?
Nope, not blaming Harris, but you know how people are. They will use this for a political advantage and honestly, I'm all for it.
Do you think people will suffer
Yeah... as the ILA president says in the video posted, everything that comes into America, comes in on ships... this could be the 10 days of darkness Q talks about as well... it would be pretty damn dark if people began running out of food and shit...
Bullshit, this isn't 10 days of darkness it's months to years to repair the supply chain once interrupted.
Due to the 60-day laws on the books a strike in early October would be quashed until December, having no effect on the election but would cripple the US before Trump was sworn in.
Exactly. It will be causing chaos all through Trump's administration, if it does happen.
Sometimes I think people aren't thinking things through very well.
Everyone should be praying that they come to a resolution as soon as possible instead of fantasizing that this will somehow damage Biden/Harris.
Unfortunately, this place is not immune to mass formation lunacy it seems. Even the allegedly awakened are sleeping deeply.
If the strike plays out it would not be an October surprise to help Trump but sabotage to the Trump Presidency and devastation to the survival of the Nation.
If this strike happens, I see it as an opportunity for Trump to showcase his MAGA leadership in contrast to blithering Biden's and Harris's ineptitude. It'll be an opportunity to make Americans understand the fragility of globalism and the importance of manufacturing on our own soil, and a good chance to frame it as a national security matter. Both biblical AND awakening, a slap in the face for those still sleeping.
I'm trying to tell you to stock up. You don't want to, don't. But don't be surprised when it happens.
I work in a place with unions as well; these companies are playing hardball, and the unions don't care.
Did you watch the video? Did you see what the ILA president said? He said, yeah they can force us back to work, but instead of 30 containers being unloaded an hour, it will drop to 6-8. Then after those 60-90 days, then what?
People will suffer....but you're all for it. 😕
Did Democrats care when they fucked the country in 2019-2020? No? Why should we care if liberals starve? We've been telling mother fuckers for YEARS to stock up, to be prepared.
Besides, something like this will show people we need to start producing our own shit again.
We should care if anyone starves, no matter if they're liberals or not. Because we aren't horrible people. You realize that those starving people you don't care about includes children, right? They have no control over what their parents do.
And it's not only liberal families that will suffer. You can tell people over and over to stock up, but if they're struggling to put food on the table as it is, how are they going to stock up?
There are plenty of people right here, in this forum, who have been struggling since the pandemic. Some even before that.
Canned food is cheap, dude. Planting tomatoes is cheap, and they grow fairly fast. It may not be luxury food, but you do what you have to do to survive. Do you think I like squash? Hell no, but I have squash growing for a rainy day, too.
The pandemic taught me a lot of things; I was so unprepared when that happened, and I refuse to be unprepared this time around.
Just based on observation....
...not many will be starving anytime soon ;p
Why should we care if human beings starve.
Remember when liberals didn't consider conservatives humans? pepperridge farm remembers. You're sounding mighty liberal there my friend.
Did you approve of what the Democrats did in 2019-2020? If not, why are you using them as a measuring stick to compare yourself to?
Are you happy to be as despicable as they are, or do you hold yourself to higher standards?
If the pandemic and all the fallout afterwards with the supply chain didn't convince people that we needed to increase our own production, why would a labor strike do it?
Good question - No, I didn't approve of them hating on conservatives back then, but back then, I cared about people...Do you think if the shoe was on the other foot, they would have come here and let everyone know that a strike was coming? Hell no. If that is despicable, then so be it.
As for the other one - the longshoremen WERE STILL WORKING DURING THE PANDEMIC. Things may have been unloaded slower, but they were still being unloaded. A full-scale shutdown of all ports will have a much greater effect than that of a pandemic where tens of thousands of longshoremen were still working. You're talking about not one container being unloaded at all.
If that doesn't show people we need to start increasing our own production, then nothing will...
90% of our food in the US is grown in the US
The United States imports a variety of foods, including:
Fruits and vegetables: The U.S. imports more than half of its fresh fruit and almost a third of its fresh vegetables. The import share of fruits increased from 50% to 60% between 2007 and 2021, and the import share of vegetables increased from 20% to 38%.
Seafood: Canada is the largest source of U.S. seafood imports, leading in lobster, crab, and whole fish imports.
Oils: Canada is the largest exporter of refined canola oil to the U.S..
The U.S. relies less on imports for unprocessed commodities like livestock, feed grains, and oilseeds.
That's about 15% of our overall food stocks. A 15% hit will still hurt.
Canola oil will shut down the fast food places. Good! kek
Good thing I quit eating that mess.
Then I say FUCK those port workers. This isn't Walmart. You are playing with peoples life's all bc you don't like your jop pay. Find another job you piece of shit
Who are you going to get to work those jobs, jackass? You are talking 10k plus longshoremen walking off the job from Maine to Texas.
I wouldn't mind if it happens, a lot of people need to learn self sufficiency and appreciation.
I've seen plenty of people right here on this message board talking about how they've been laid off for months and that they need jobs.
It's not like there is 0% unemployment out there.
Anyone. It's a desirable well paying low effort job.
LOL
if serious, username checks out
LOL, you're a fucking retard if you think that being a longshoreman is a low-effort job.
This tells me you've never met a longshoreman.
https://gcaptain.com/the-worlds-most-dangerous-maritime-jobs/
Do some fucking research, man.
Here we go again. Feels like 2021 all over again... except, me thinks: it's go time.
Golly, you mean the working man has noticed his wage's purchasing power has shrunk so much he can no longer afford a decent box of mac & cheese for his family, and has finally reached the point of striking to drive that nail home?
... and here I was, thinking it was just greedy Big Business, pillaging the people during the time of 3% (official) inflation ...
You'd be surprised how far you can go with beans and rice, canned soup, and canned vegetables.
Yep, it might not be luxury food, but it will sustain you.
exactly. a bag of potatoes, celery and carrots can do wonders. especially with spices. it's not that hard to do. And there are a ton of YT channels to show people how.
Datefag FTW
"72-Hour Rule" in effect...how surprised would we really be to see a deal struck at the last minute
yay datefagging!
So, if you're on the West Coast, all good?
Seems so. Pray for those of us on the EC.
Prayer is a powerful weapon of warfare against the enemy and his schemes. If we pray, we need only stand and see that the lord is good.
Will do; thanks for the heads up.
No. While ships continue unloading on the West Coast, this is a nationwide problem. Shortages on the East Coast will effect the whole country, and prices will soar.
Why sell their goods to those on the West Coast, if they can sell it for 4x the amount (or whatever number you like) to someone on the East Coast?
I'm pretty sure it will screw things up for the entire country, if it happens.
Whatever happened to the railroad strikers that Biden made take to arbitration? That was a month ago, IIRC.
Didn't they come to an agreement?
It doesn't look like it's settled yet. This article is from August 24, the latest I found: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cirb-decision-railway-dispute-1.7304194
This means that after 90 days, they will strike again.
Except for the part about being on the west coast...
It ain't that bad, at least where I'm at :D
West Coast longshoreworkers could go out in solidarity.

Well this will fuck the country....
I'm ready, been ready, stay ready.
I wish that the globoshipping magnates cared even a fraction as much about their workers, including port workers, as they do about "slashing carbon."
Appreciate the heads up!!! My wife and I are ready! Gotta a bit more to stock up on and we are good to go. Picking up half a Cow worth of meat from our butcher tomorrow
Lol, I don't know why, but that sentence reminded me of this exchange... https://remotestorage.blogspot.com/2010/07/douglas-adamss-cow-that-wants-to-be.html?m=1
Meanwhile AT&T is now facing strikes themselves, two union districts which cover a significant portion of national field operations techs. One has been on strike for almost a month.
Another "stock up" post.
I stocked up and all my stock is going bad because the collapse takes fricken FOREVER. I got canned goods that last 10 years that are on the verge of spoiling. Fricken collapse already so I can feel good about my regarded purchases.
It's a stock-up post that is legit, though. It pays to know people.
Here's what you are doing wrong. Use your oldest stock first and replace with new so that you always have backup stock on hand. As you use 'old' and then replenish with new, all of your stock will remain no more than a year or so old.
They let me go mid-July from my automation company job, and tried to give me a severance package that would keep me from applying for unemployment until just after the election "as long as you sign this form that you won't sue". Pound sand you jerks. We're in this to win, not be bought back into slavery with our own money.
September is national preparedness month...
Thanks fren!
This plus war right around the corner. The precipice is fast approaching. Stay comfy out there everyone
IF they don't come to an agreement, they'll strike 10/1.
Maybe they will.
Larping datefaggers….. unite!!!!!!
Frens,
I have wanted to be a good Patriot and stock up accordingly. However, money is very tight. If you could only spend $500 on this "stock-up", what would you buy?
Serious question and I'm personally more concerned about food and life supplies at this time then guns and ammo.
How do I stretch the dollar on this?
Please and thank you!
MAGA
If we are talking food supplies:
I'd get food that keeps, but fills your stomach and has calories. Personally, I get Bush's baked beans, Idaho Instant potato packets, Rice, Powdered protein powder, powdered milk, cans of deviled ham, tuna, cans of hearty soup like Progresso, instant coffee, tea, crackers, mac 'n cheese, etc. if you have extra fridge and freezer space, get eggs, buy & freeze meats, dairy, bread and pot pies. Also, consider getting an extra mustard, ketchup, salsa, honey, sugar, salt & pepper.
If we are talking non-food supplies:
Things you gotta have - Prescription meds, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, liquid hand soap, pool chemicals (if applicable).
Other things:
Get your car serviced while parts are obtainable, fix mechanical or repair things that gotta be fixed now while you can, buy any Christmas presents, special unique things you usually order regularly.
What do you (or anyone) think of these "patriot supply" type packages for long shelf life supplies?
I haven't tried them. I figure they may work just fine, but I'd want to try them and see if they taste better than cardboard, first!
🙏🏻 Thank you CasuallyObservent, this is exactly what I was looking for! 🙏🏻
Welcome, fren!
canned goods
2016, close to 90% of the food and beverage products consumed in America were produced in the U.S. According to the USDA, in 2021 the top five producing states were California, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas and Minnesota and the leading farm products in the U.S. were cattle, corn, soybeans, milk and other dairy ...
That's great as long as we have the manufactured parts and fertilizer to keep us producing.

posted this above as well.. there's still a lot of stuff we import...
Isn't Pete Butt-something the Secretary of Transportation?
What is HE doing about this?
He's doing nothing but posing for photo ops and taking his cushy paycheck.
nothing, they already got their endorsement from the ILA.
Thanks for the heads-up! Do your Christmas shopping early too.
Stock up on Honda Goldwings and popcorn.
