I keep hearing from Trump's administration that "everything is historic" but this year, food, rent, and gas has all gone up. My roommate (mom) is depressed and losing hope. To be short, we both share an apartment. I've been losing hope. I cannot find and stable jobs, nor can she, and the cost of living could literally put us out of this place. We've been praying to God to protect Trump so he could make america great and affordable again. Does anyone here have any solutions on how to survive in this damn economy?

This has been my biggest frustration with Trump: The whole trillions of dollars investment he is selling us.
I haven’t seen that help Main Street at all. Tons of people losing their jobs.
the frustrating part is "historic, better than ever before" but I'm just not seeing it
I agree.
There is nothing for mainstreet. He keeps saying "Wages are up".
Yet people are struggling big time!
My wages are double what they were 10 years ago but the buying power is less now than then. I was better off financially when I made half as much. This whole system needs to go. Hell I've even quite paying credit cards off cuz fuk them and the credit score system and the usury of it all.
And taxes
hell yes. I'm self employed and get destroyed in taxes every year.
I would take cash or zelle only.
You should know cash can't be tracked.
My wages/income are way less than 10 years ago but I struggled through back then to get debt free and now I need a lot less to live on. Sacrifices are needed to get to that point (and maybe a little luck too) but you'll be happy once you get there. I see people saving for retirement while spending thousands a month just making minimum payments on their debt (not saying that is your case so don't take that personal). If they worked on paying off their debt, they wouldn't need as much to retire on.
Nowadays, I just buy things with cash - if I can't afford to do that, I figure I can find a better option or just save more money until I can afford it.
The problem with "wages are up" is nobody getting salary (which is a large part of the workforce) and a lot of hourly didn't get a sudden pay raise and won't until March/April of next year. Their pay is basically frozen as are any union contracted companies.
The only people seeing an increase are people getting new jobs after being unemployed or those job hopping for better pay.
We may see a surge after Q1 2026 when wages get reevaluated for the year if employers feel the economy is in good shape. I haven't had an annual raise keep up with inflation since Joe got into office.
Yup and I keep hearing about all these tech layoffs in the Seattle area but more and more and more East Indians keep coming. I am so sick of it.
I do consulting for a tech company in Seattle, I go there once every other month for about a week. Last time I showed up, not a white guy anywhere in the tech side. In just 6 weeks they'd swapped 25 normal dudes for 50 indian dudes.
That's scary bad.
This is very true. I live in Redmond.
I see construction going on and roadwork but that's only illegal aliens. None of them can speak any english
Honestly the way I view it. The only way to adapt and survive in this system is to be invested for the long term in Wall Street and similar assets (e g. Bitcoin).
Why? Becuase the system is rigged to make those assets always go up. Not investing is basically not an option.
Everyone should be putting at least 5 percent. Ideally more into investments. There are index funds where you don't have to buy an entire fund / stock unit so you can start investing for as little as $1.
This is largely due to the monetary policy we have, the currency is constantly being devalued, bailing out failing assets and big banka whenever there is a "crisis", etc.
Ofc this can only help you build weather long term. There will be crashes and days or months where your portfolio goes down. Guaranteed. For an imminent situation like OPs, it doesn't help much. But even still OP should invest $1 today and get in the habit of it .
Anyone who thinks the solution is index funds, I have a great deal on a bridge for you. Guaranteed return rate.
There are no guarantees just probabilities
No, the bridge definitely has a guaranteed return rate!
"A" solution. Not THE solution.
Not “a” solution, either.
Index funds are not only a big part of the problem, but opening yourself up to the Great Taking.
They haven't been a problem for me lol!!
Bitcoin, bwahahahaha. Fake money.
If you are not invested in anything but hard assets I have some upcoming bad news for you.
It's helping the stock market. It hasn't done anything to help me at all. I guess I'm gonna hunker down until the first of the year and pray that the economy is getting better by then.
I agree.
The stock market is a bad indicator of real success.
Have you looked at Gas, it's down 25% according to Trump just yesterday!
He also said food is at a historic low.
Is that not the case?
Not where I am in eastern Washington. Gas prices are up here due to the green taxes and food prices haven't come down a bit, in fact beef prices are UP. Eggs are down from their high a few months ago, but they're up slightly from a year ago. I'm glad my freezer is full.
For me, the biggest cost increases this year have been insurance - car, home, and medical. My homeowners insurance alone is going to bite me for an additional C note a month. Property tax also went up. I know some people who own their homes that have simply stopped carrying home insurance because they just can't afford it. People like Newscum and the insurance companies love the idea.
It is getting harder for regular people considering income is not increasing, and for some, it is almost non existent. But it is not just us here here in the States, globally many others are in the same boat, if not worse. Much of the global unrest is being sparked because people simply can't survive. Those looking to start revolutions only need a slight shove to set off mass destruction.
Auto Insurance is fking INSANE right now... INSANE!!!
It was $200/mo pre-c19, now? $600/mo no tickets, no accidents, no claims whatsoever.
Legalized extortion, invented by the same Csuckers that do the magic money BS.
What??? Are you guys really paying that much? We are paying about $110 a month for two vehicles full coverage.
The grocery bill is the one that hit us the hardest aside from Obama’s super duper health insurance plan.
But yeah, a new truck would be $1000 a month! Plus 600 insurance? Plus gas?
A few thousand dollar Doge check would help but NOT PAYING taxes would help a lot more!
Yes...
3 vehicles full coverage; one financed... it's bs
Yikes. I have 5 fully insured vehicles and im still under/around $100/mo. AAA
I only had a slight increase last year. I was expecting to get hammered like everyone else, but breathed a sigh of relief when it was only about $20/mo. But you are right. Insurance is going up across the board and it sucks.
That's not Trumps fault. That is the democrats doing. Start speaking out against the democrats and their wasteful spending. The louder you get, the angrier the dems get. So be careful. But this is not gonna be pretty the latest election season 2026.
WA State is doom. Taxes on digital ads - Google, Meta, and Amazon Ads start on Oct 1.
Not sure.
I do know tons of people are losing their jobs and struggling.
I don't think that's true at all, Trump said yesterday more people are working then ever.
I am just going what my eyes see.
Food is fairly cheap. Gas, not so much...
Actually I just got back from the store, beef is INSANE, and so are eggs still.
Also, Gas was $3.10 by me.
$6.99/lb for Angus beef flat iron steaks. I just bought 20 lbs. I buy locally. The store buys locally. I try to keep the money local. I don't do big box stores.
Gas is $2.89 - $3.09.
I think if we don't see something MAJOR happen by Christmas then we've all been fooled. But I do sense something big is about to happen. DC just had iron fences brought in again so....let's see. I predict the government will officially shut down Oct 1st and some type of compensation/stimulus money will be given out. Try to hang in there a little bit longer. I know, it's hard.
I'm a single 66 female and live off monthly social security checks alone...so it's very hard, scary and isolating. But we were told 8 years ago, we're all going to go through a near-death type experience before things get better. Now, whether the collapsing economy is that or something else is about to happen, I don't know, but this cannot continue. And if Trump is who I believe he is, he won't let us suffer through Christmas.
I hope something big happens because yeah I'm losing hope. I'm hoping everything you said happens. we got nothing left than to trust Trump at this point. I hope THIS is the precipice .....
Would you be eligible and interested to work for ICE? Hiring bonus up to $50,000 eligible for early payoff of student loans and starting pay in the 6 figures. I dunno. Just spitballing.
I would apply but I got a DUI from my college days. I also looked at Border Patrol but they require a masters degree or prior LEO/Military experience. I can pass a pee test. My DUI is from nearly 10 years ago but I would have no chance.
I worked for ICE for 8 years and I say, you be honest, you'll be fine and may get hired.
There may be other options within that department. I suggest you inquire, just in case. See:
https://www.ice.gov/join

A single DUI from 10 years ago does not automatically disqualify you from applying for a job with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, your entire background, including your DUI history, will be thoroughly vetted during the hiring process. Your application's success will depend on the specifics of your case and the agency's overall assessment of your suitability for the role.
The whole person concept
ICE and other federal law enforcement agencies use a "whole person" concept when evaluating applicants for positions that require extensive background investigations. This means that a single negative incident won't automatically lead to rejection. Instead, the agency will weigh factors such as: Recency and frequency of the offense: A single, older DUI is less likely to be a determining factor than a more recent one or multiple offenses. Severity of the offense: Was it a misdemeanor or a felony? A standard misdemeanor DUI is viewed differently than a DUI with aggravating circumstances, such as a high blood alcohol content or an accident involving injury.
Honesty and accountability: The most critical factor is your honesty. Failing to disclose a past offense is often an immediate disqualification. Being transparent demonstrates accountability and integrity, which are key traits for law enforcement officers.
Remediation and rehabilitation: What have you done since the incident? Showing evidence of personal growth, completing any court-ordered programs, or maintaining a clean record demonstrates your commitment to avoiding past mistakes.
Your background investigation
For your federal background check, a DUI conviction will likely show up. While the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) places a seven-year limit on reporting non-conviction information for most jobs, federal agencies have broader authority to look into an applicant's full history.
Recommendations
Be honest: Do not attempt to hide the conviction. It will be discovered, and failure to disclose it will end your application.
Provide context: During the background investigation or interview, be prepared to discuss the incident candidly. Explain what you have learned from the experience and what steps you've taken to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Show growth: Highlight your clean record and demonstrate how you've matured and accepted responsibility in the decade since the offense.
Ten years ago, by DMV standards are as if it never happened. I would proceed with pride that you effectively paid the 'fine' and dues and move past it. You have 10 years positive character because of it. GO for it friend, give it a go ! Regardless , you have value, you know you do, in your heart. Embrace that and feel proud. This scenario has nothing to do with your family or you. This is crime that sets at our feet now. I will look into solutions to assist you fren. Stay positive, dream of success and prosperity, it will find you !
Says a bachelor’s degree is required for being an ICE agent. WHY? What does having a degree have to do with enforcing immigration laws? Why do I need a degree not even pertaining to law enforcement to enforce the law. It’s all so fucking stupid.
Apply anyway, give them your anon resume. You never know. One thing is for sure, if you don't apply, you won't get a job there.
I understand, if you can still apply, do so. Not enough help to fuel I.C.E. they need you. Just stay patient my friend, keep your emotions as level as you can. I know its hard, been there. Focus in your mind on the end result, will things into existence. Its a real thing, it takes patience.
There is always the military. You get free room and board, you can send your entire paycheck to help your mother while you get 3 meals and a bed to sleep in every night.
If you have a bachelor's degree, then you are more likely to side with leftist approaches 🤷🏻
Hmm, there must be something wrong with me. I have a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and I'm definitely not left leaning!
I think that a degree might simply be a way of weeding out potential losers. It suggests (not always) high intelligence.
Recruiters might also look at spelling, punctuation and grammar. A typo in your resume or cover letter suggests that you lack attention to detail. When there's 2000 applicants and only one job, recruiters need ways to whittle the numbers down quickly without having to do 2000 interviews.
Also for the military, physical fitness matters. When my sons applied, they spent 6 months in the home gym working out. (Obviously this doesn't matter unless you get an interview, although you could mention fitness on your resume and a photo might be required with the application.)
It doesn't hurt to try. What is the worst they can say, no? Besides, now would be the best time to apply since they really need personnel, so your chances might be better than previously. You never know till you try. Good luck.
You can get a waiver. Ask your congressman to help if there is a problem.
Just hanging there a little longer. I think things are getting ready to change for the better, but it's gonna get a lot worse first.
I agree with you. Federal debt is going to continue to rise. The economy is going to take a dive. Jobless numbers will increase. The dollar is going to tank. Stocks are going to crash. ‘Transient’ inflation will spiral out of control. US treasury and bond rates will rise even though interest rates are being cut. The real estate bubble is going to pop. Banks are going to go under. Sorry for the doom and gloom. The bribed crooks running the country and the greedy bankers purposely made all of this happen. Fuck every one of them.
Unfortunately with the Charlie Kirk lie. Either Trump is compromised or under threat. Or they are worried about Israel launching nukes if they tell the truth. Otherwise I see no other logical option of why they would blatantly lie to us about the shooting.
That story is worse than a screen door, more holes than anything
I would say somewhere in the range of 50-75% of the people I interact with Republican or Democrat don’t buy the official narrative.
Really, that might be the most important thing.
I truly believe it because of the "Samson Option," NCSWIC, but they are trying limit the amount of bloodshed as possible at the same time.
It has me concerned too. Those asshats are fully capable, mentally, to kill everyone including themselves
I more and more think this whole thing is biblical prophecy and the precipice will be the near end of the Earth and Christ returns. We are in a spiritual war and the enemy are satanists.
Amen 🙏
Gig : it's light hanging time! If you're able, they are hiring crews to do Christmas lighting. Heights, ladders, sober, reliable and insurable will go along way.
Look up what your landlord has to pay in property taxes, and what your rent would be otherwise.
My daughter and son-in-law are moving in with us b/c they cannot afford a home for themselves, that they might have afforded a decade ago; but they did not have the economic pressure back then and could pay the rent. Now it is too late, housing prices have DOUBLED!
And property taxes! Our mortgage is paid off, but the property tax burden is as much as a rental! We are forced to RENT OUR OWN HOME from the County, b/c if we do not pay, they will TAKE IT from us! Despite our clear ownership and paying off the mortgage! You rent from the bank and then the county just to stay in your OWN HOME!
I had to live in a mobile home in a trailer park for some years! Not my choice. Finances dictated. I did not feel humiliated, but practical.
God Bless you and your Mom!
My husband and I have now paid more in property taxes, than what we paid for our house. More than double.
Yes! I am fighting with the court about how much my house it worth, they don't like my appraisal. It feels odd I am paying what was rent ten years ago just to stay here.
This topic! Zillow has house appraised for 3x what I paid. I have never done anything to fix it (couldn't afford to). Taxes keep going up on an appraisal I never approved. If they came in and checked my house like a real appraisal, they'd have a much lower figure, so why do they get to raisey taxes based on thos fictitious number???
I hope going forward, if we have property taxes, they are a fixed number, not this mils bullshit.
Simply ask them if they included mortgage value as the home purchase price. If they say yes, thats admission to guilt. Why ? Because Mortgages include more than the house purchase price. Fees, points, inspections, insurance, addendums for improvements ALL are ROLLED into a mortgage and have NOTHING to do with purchase price. So , they used it to their advantage to hike up prices, rates and income. RICO BABY. RICO LAWSUIT. You are in the RIGHT !
Nah. I built a house on my parents land. They want to charge me what the neighbor with 15 acres and similar house pays plus charge my parents more now that it's developed. I say they should charge the appraised price of the lots worth split in whatever way they want between me and my parents. They want more then that.
While I like this concept, is there anyone who has set a legal precedent for it?
edit - added legal
I know of no lawyer that has taken on the giant. Many have opined and add to the concept. To me, its a very simple path, for someone with the fortitude to do so. It will wind up in the supreme courts. But the magnitude of this practice is from about 1985-2025 country wide. Trillions.
Yep, it was just an opinion & until a true precedent is set, there is room for some great gains.
He did warn that AI might plagerize & that would be a big problem, so be careful with it in that regard.
I feel for ya, fren. Physical silver has been the only thing securing me over these past few years. Without that I’d be very discouraged. I do believe we’ll see some incredible times ahead (economically), but we need to see the Central Bank/Fed system dismantled before then. Hoping that happens soon for all our sakes.
tell me about silver. is it too late to invest? and how has that been keeping you secure? do you still work or you just live off of silver investments?
We broke 45 early this morning.
GME and Silver is my only hope currently. I am getting gutted like a fish with inflation and our insane WA State taxes.
Consider moving to a non commie state. The scenery isnt as nice, but the people are much better.
I can’t even afford to move and all my family and wife’s family is here. If we have a kid we can’t afford to move cause we can’t afford child care. Mean while illegals and H1-B’s get everything they want.
Hopefully with all the new investments you can get a new job and moving costs paid. I moved from Denver to Oklahoma many years ago,and I'm glad I did, people her are normal,if you know what I mean.
but no dealers are buying at the spot, some are going 9 dollars lower, to buy back.
Hold lots of sellers right now. You can also sell back to the big online dealers,at a much better price.
All the paper hands will be gone soon.
https://www.jmbullion.com/my-account/buyback-products/
yeah, I am holding. I know APMEX and JM Bullion buy back, at good prices, and better price for coin. I have Libertads from 2016, Eagles from earlier, and rounds, bars, junk etc. I stopped buying anything once it reached 22 dollars, its my personal discipline if I want to make a profit.
I quit buying at 25,but when we hit 100 we might wish we bought today. That's why I'm buying miners
My dealer is paying $1 back of spot. Thank goodness
It's truly amazing. My challenge will be not selling when it first hits triple digits. I think that it could go well into the triple digits eventually.
I'm here for it, if that happens, I'll be retired before 65. Go silver, go silver.
What u/dutycalls1776 said is even less than actual. It was around FRN16 just THREE years ago, and only around FRN22 just over 2 years ago. Even this time last year it was only around FRN32.
Silver hasn’t gone up. A Silver Eagle is actually still worth exactly one Dollar, because it is one Dollar. It’s the FRN whose value is going to crap.
A “Dollar Bill” (“FRN”) is not a Dollar.
Expect the ending value in FRN to go to several hundred FRN per oz, before going to roughly infinite FRN per oz as the FRN continues its March toward its true value….
Zero.
It’s not even necessarily about “making money”, though you might, it’s about not losing everything. At the end of the day, while we each have our suspicions, nobody knows precisely what’s going to happen with anything, so diversify your assets, with the realization that being able to hold something in your hand - possession - is 9/10ths of the Law.
u/pbman2
By that same note, keep 1 Peter 5:6 and Isaiah 41:10 in mind as well, that ye be in His hand.
Possession is 9/10ths of The Law.
I feel you there. My wife said only a couple of items went down on groceries. Our electric bill is getting higher and high, food has not gone down. I keep also hearing HISTORICAL LOWS!!! Bullshit. The average american is still struggling. I can have patience on arrests and stuff but this pricing is out of control.
Even our gas hasn't come down - it did at first but then it popped right back up to Biden-era prices. I don't understand it. Our eggs are lower but not pre-Biden low.
Realistically, it would probably take decades to reverse the damage the Democrats have caused. Deporting 20 million people would go a long way in reducing demand for goods and allowing prices to stabilize
As unpopular as his later actions were, Hitler turned their economy around in record time by outlawing usury. It can be done.
I have been working to wake up others close to me about thus specific issue.
"How would investors make money on loans?"
A - There would be no more investment in personal property loans, which does lock out a significant portion (likely large/super majority) of buyers.
B - Fees are perfectly acceptable. You recognize that for borrowing 100k you will repay $150k within x amount of time, the fee being the $50k or the personal property goes to the lender.
The lender in scenario B sets that fee based on anything they want. Lenders generally will be competitive & will likely lower fees based on promised pay off dates, other investment opportunities, and whatever inflation is expected to do over that time set to pay off the asset.
What most people do not realize is that interest is compounded at almost every single step.
Interest just needs to stop, or at the very least we need to participate in a Jubilee every 40 years (20 would be better).
Have you considered that maybe Unc was a one in a million talent? Lol
He said he’d have electric bills down by 50%.
When does that happen?
Yeah, not gonna happen. Maybe at the raw level but once it gets to the consumer energy companies aren’t going to chop prices in half. They have employees and regulation fees and pensions to fund. The current prices are here to stay.
You can’t go to a business and say, “listen do it for the common good, just reduce your prices.” The economy doesn’t work that way.
Here is what you do. Do not worry about anything except getting the rent paid. It is the first priority, you lose shelter, everything else starts to crumble. Been there.Food can be obtained through pantries, community dinners, churches. Get used to rice and pasta, drink tap water. You have to keep your chin up and consider this a survival lesson, on how little money is neccesary to keep you alive. Americans are really not exposed to struggle like this, but getting through it, by sacrifice, can give you confidence that will stay with you all of your life. Right now, America is a country with vast extremes, and the middle is losing ground fast. I know people who would not do some ot the work I have, cleaning other peoples houses, taking care and working with severely disabled people, cleaning campground bathrooms, etc. All work is dignified, and when you have no money coming in, no job is too beneath a person. I am sorry to those people who thought it was going to be all golden age immediatly, politicians I dont care who they are, say a lot of things to different people. I managed to have what I have by working and living within my means. When I went from 30k to 70k a year, I spent as if I still was making 30. Volunteering is a great way to network, just be willing to work. Pray and be grateful for everything you do have. Try not to be bitter, it takes up a lot of energy.
See if you qualify for secion 8 assistance or other help.
You paid for it with your taxes, nothing wrong with them paying you back.
we were denied that, and the waitlist is YEARSSSS
5-year waiting list in Oregon I know that for a fact
Uber if you have the car for it.
i dont cuz they only accept new cars..... which i do not have
Talk to your pastor,if you are a member of a local church. Talk to other family,if you have it.
That's what I said, churches will help with rent and utilities, at least once.
Our church has a fund for that.
He needs better long term solutions. I've been their myself,it takes years. I went to aircraft mechanic school, and have done much much better. Their are programs in our local area for free training.
I did the same. Went to Jr College and got a technical degree in health information. I code charts from home for 20 years. It's a great job, flexible hours, good pay, no traffic or car expenses.
Do uber eats or Doordash. I have a 2012. It's a good side gig if your in a decent enough area.
Doordash doesn't care how old your car is. It's a grind at the beginning, but after you work your way up you'll get regular orders.
You can rent. Uber has deals where you rent per day or per week. They also have (you have to look for it) other companies that advertise on the uber site for steady drivers jobs, like access (maybe a state or city thing, but basically driving people on gov't disability) or Alto. Of course it'll depends on your area, but I know the programs are out there.
If you are white you won’t get shit
Unless you pretend you cut off your dick...
lol I was thinking of saying I am a minority.
Sending Prayers of Hope and Salvation.
Still waiting for him to restore my pension's 38%+ loss in purchasing power suffered under O'Biden-flation.
I think we're all going to be disappointed on this one.
Inflation doesn't really ever go down, even in good economies. It's always slowly increasing, it just greatly accelerated under Biden
Hitler did it, got rid of usury. I don' agree with his later actions, but that brought Germany out of a much worse economy
The dollar is crashing hence the reason it looks like inflation.
Unfortunately some may have to move where the jobs are and out of depressed area’s.
How do you expect people currently struggling to pay rent to pay for a move? Honest question.
Fren, sorry you are that far down…. I really can’t offer much other than prayers and to turn it all over to GOD… 100 %. He won’t do it for you, but he will lead you to the path. Find work where you can and keep faith. One thing usually leads to another. Keep it positive! Get assistance where you can.. I always had safety valves in place to move forward before it got to a month to month point but I know God laid that path for me. I lost a job with a mortgage and a baby 5 month out. Best thing that ever happened. I never would have sought the job I wound up with 3 months later. Sold a few things including a car and frequent Ramon meals…. But we made it with faith.
It's called hard work and sacrifice. Get it together.
In other words, you have no clue.
hitch hike or buy the cheapest bus ticket to the nearest major city and walk around businesses looking for work, most restaurant will take people with no experience for basic prep, clearing tables, or dish washing, its hard work but it would pay for the hostel and living expenses for two, you would need less than a months rent savings and if you can both find work you can afford a basic apartment in a bad area
if you want to increase your odds learn some kind of skill that you can busk with, or take up a hobby that produces something salable, if you currently live in an area with access to wood and you have a knife of some kind you could be whittling all kinds of things that could potentially be sold at some point in the future to make you a few extra bucks
if you have access to woodland and trees look in to bodging, you could be making tables and chairs and selling them for thousands, you just have to find something about your area that could work, thats going to really depend on where you live
Is pizza delivery an option? Work directly for a pizza restaurant, not uber. My local pizza hut uses uber because they are simply short on actual delivery drivers.
I don't know. I think about this often. My brothers are (were, one just died) in the same boat with the rent issue. Rent keeps going up but their social security check doesn't. My brother goes to local churches - they're on a schedule, I am not sure if it's once per month or once per week or what - for giving away food on Saturdays to whoever shows up to ask for it. I'm talking uncooked food goods, not actual cooked meals. Look into food pantries for your area churches. They are what's keeping my brother alive because he sure as hell can't afford both food AND rent.
My hairdresser, who has a bunch of money tied up in an IRA, was turned down for buying a condo because they said her monthly income for affording it had to be $7500 (per month!!) or some nonsense. She doesn't make that much per month but has a lot of money tied up in investments. Still got turned down.
We need a major economy correction crash or something ... this is unsustainable. People's lives (and livelihoods) are at stake.
I'll pray for you and your mother. I wish I had some useful advice to give.
Speaking of food, it might be a good idea to supplement your food budget. Get into couponing. That is a hobby that seriously pays off.
I used to do it and cut down my grocery bills by 20 to 90%. I've walked out of the store with filet mignon and lobster for 8 for the low, low cost of $11. There are ways to walk away from the register with the store GIVING you money along with your food. MATH - it is fun and empowering.
Whatever your frustrations with Trump, it's important to remember that things would be 1000x worse under Kamala. Gas would probably be $8/gal by now, and 10 million more illegals would already have crossed the border
But thats what they want us to think, of course things are better than Krazy Kam Kam. However Trump needs to get away from israel before MAGA can have a chance
Leaving Israel till last for a specific reason.
u/#q916
Gas couldn't hit $8 a gallon that fast, the support system isn't there.
Sending prayers for you.
I suggest looking for gig jobs. Not stable, but definitely can provide a bit of cash. Uber'ing around town at midnight is not fun, but maybe can help.
Side hustle. Often turns into a big, full time business.
Specialty services get more money. Find something you love, do it well and do it for yourself.
Choose something with a good gatekeeper. Example, stump grinder can get a lot of jobs from tree trimmer companies. Or parking lot striper will get a lot of jobs from paving companies.
Or, make kites during the week and sell them at the beach or park on weekends. Fun is important too.
Specialty Services: Sign: "Let me make your wife happy for Christmas" If you've got a calender or data base, get the name of the wife, and shop for her. He's going to leave it until the 23rd, and pick up something she doesn't want, or Amazon list, gift card, etc. In effect, making her get her own gift. get a budget, ask questions quiz him, ask for photos of her closet, shoes and purses. Restaurant, gift flowers.
Service that makes HIS life a lot easier.
What State are you in?
CA
that's the problem...praying for you and your mom to get away from CA...God bless you for taking care of her... and praying for a stable place somewhere else
This might sound rediculas but... get your friends to become squatters and take over your apartment, and declare it their residence. If I recall correctly CA law won't kick them out. Then they invite you to stay with them. Should give you a year or so. I think this is legal there.
Use their dumbass laws against them! THIS IS THE WAY!
Come to the Midwest. Do you have any family in Missouri? Price for everything is much cheaper here. 2 bedroom apartment/house in my small town 600-800 monthly.
Just as bad up in WA brother.
Here is a solution, use AI or be crushed by it. It's your most powerful tool, but if you don't work on mastering it soon, AI will replace any job you try to get.
This is the new AI economy, everyone is losing jobs.
I am working on a side gig using AI. No idea if it will pay off, but it makes sense to use it after speaking to an IP attorney. They told me that until a precedent is actually set, that using it, & verifying it's accuracy (depending on the gig), while making sure you are involved in the details is likely the best course of action at this point.
I'm still working on finding ways to make money with AI, I'm not claiming it's made me rich, but it helps me solve all my other problems in minutes, which clears up hours of times to focus on my business ideas.
Use it for problem solving. Use it for your health instead of wasting money on a hospital. Use it to solve as many problems as possible and you will learn to be more time efficient at least.
Many of my neighbors, & friends, who own their own businesses have told me that this is the only reason they are still afloat. AI has helped them be able to filter through large data sets to find good information they can verify quickly & is saves them hundreds or thousands of hours in job costs.
Provlem solving is a great use for it.
Dear Lord, you taught us to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread." We know this includes everything we need to exist in this life. Thank you for your providence for all that we need. Today we lift up Andrew Jaqqson and his Mom to you and ask for your providence for them in all areas. Please open doors that they both may be gainfully employed. Secure their shelter that they be protected from the coming winter. Grace them with your abundant blessing that they too may bless those around them and give you all the glory that you deserve. Thank you, Lord for all that you do and all that you are. Thank you for hearing our prayer. We ask this in your mighty name and to your glory. Amen.
Sell some stuff on EBay. They take their pound of flesh, 15%, but if you have things laying around, it could generate some $.
We overdrafted this month, and have no way to rebound. You're not the only one holding on for dear life at this moment.
Doordash will hire you on the spot - you don't need a new car for this. It's not much but maybe it can keep the lights on while you weather the storm. Do you have any friends or family you can ask for work? I know if a friend was in a tough spot, I'd find something he could to for a little cash so he could keep his dignity while accepting help.
Check your local church or other local charities for assistance. Does your state, county or city provide assistance?
Prayers for you both.
Prayers with you and your family fren. I dont have answers, but keep trying and dont lose hope
If you can do any sort of online work, go to Upwork.com. Start reading and reading and reading the job boards in the different categories and see if there is anything you can do.
You'd be surprised what clients will pay people to do - "secret shopping," voice recitation for AI training, all the way to high-level programming and everything in between.
Set up a profile so clients can find you, and start applying.
It's not a scam. I've been literally paying the rent with it for over ten years. Start reading right now and see what you can find.
*There's also Fiverr, but I haven't heard much good about it. Clients who don't want to pay a decent price on Upwork go to Fiverr and scrape the bottom of the barrel. Try Upwork first.
Have you considered moving to a red state? There are lots of jobs to be had here in Texas, we’re booming. Lots of construction, roads and housing. Truck drivers are in demand as well as farm/ranch help. FYI, gas here is 2.50 a gallon.
Change your resume to say that you're Hispanic if you're in any of the more woke states. It still absolutely works.
That worked for Pocahontas to get into college
This is clearly a demotivation thread. I'll be downvoted to oblivion by the paid shills but I'll still point it out.
The market is up. People are still buying things and and the deep state leftists are getting fucked just about every day
Nothing to be upset about. When I was young I remember struggling.
Prayers fren in Jesus' name. <3
I was searching Count St Germain and found this

Churches usually will help with rent and utilities. Make some calls.
Coming off the last administration the down turn will take a while to turn around. It took Biden a couple of years to destroy the economy. Trump can't bring it back overnight!
I understand that and have no problem with it.
What I DO have a problem with is the constant gaslighting, telling us how great things are, "The best things have ever been!", "The greatest economy ever!", etc... when we ALL can see how bad it really is, and are personally suffering for it.
How stupid do they think we are, that we won't understand that things are really bad, because we're actually living through it? It's insulting as hell.
I feel the pain. Gas hasn't gone up, but the price has stayed stagnant for almost a year. Grocery prices are also as high as before, not much has gone down in price. And don't even get me started on buying a home. Homes that are worth about 100k are selling for 500k or more! This is impossible to keep up with! Even a used car that's over 15 years old with 100k miles can cost you over $15,000!
The Indians Jeets are taking all the jobs.
This is why my patience officially runs out on January 20, 2029.
If we don't see mass arrests and public swamp draining by then, I say the Q operation has been a failure.
There is still time. But the clock is ticking.
I am in a better situation than you but I share your frustrations. The economy sucks. Electricity is sky high, food still high, we sold a car so now we're a one car household. Things are way more expensive and I am deeply bothered bc I know there are many less fortunate that this effects much harder. I don't have much advice other than to keep fighting. We are feeling the effects of financial warfare.
He went too hard with the tariffs.Should have ended de minimis, cut govt spending by 50% and cut personal taxes and taxes on manufacturing businesses that make in USA.
Now they are still cutting rates, everything points to inflation going higher.
We also need deals with Canada and Mexico and this hemisphere BEFORE we need deals with places like Japan or South Korea - and even they're both starting to reneg on promises to invest the negotiated $900B in the US and are talking more with China and India.
BRICS countries are circling the wagon and we need to do the same.
