We did CPR on people for sometimes an hour before finally being able to bring them back. Broken ribs are also not so bad either with some recover time. I am not telling you this to totally say you are wrong or anything but it is possible that it is him.

Still doesn't make sense that his ambulance waited several minutes under the stadium for his Mom/family to see him before going to the hospital. NO WAY they'd have sat under the stadium for even 1 minute if he wasn't dead.
