This has nothing to do with who the speaker is, it has everything to do with 8 slipknots ousting a speaker without any plan for a replacement.
Isreal is at war and we can’t do anything because these clowns put zero thought into the potential consequences.

I think we started that war, and I think the timing is tied to what just happened in DC, but I may be letting my imagination run away with me.
This war was started immediately after we quit funding the Ukraine. The connection is obviouse.

The timing of the US election cycle
The fact that "Ukraine" is getting old and stinky - aka more and more exposed and harder to defend - new distractions needed
The imminent deal of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Israel (that comes on the very amazing foundation of Trumps' Abraham Accords)
Deep state being cornered more and more

If Devolution is in play, I'm skeptical that the funding being sent to Ukraine is all completely dollars down the drain and I wonder how much of it is being tracked and traced, like a marker solution that flows through the system providing a trace of all the different routes and destinations. That idea is reinforced by the fact that the head oligarch in Ukraine who put Zelensky in to power is currently sitting in prison - in Ukraine - under investigation for all sorts of fraud.

My Tennessee rep Burchett. I’m glad he went with his decision to vote McCarthy out. Before the vote he had mentioned that he would pray to God before his decision. McCarthy scoffed at him when he mentioned this. And as Burchett claimed, “no one mocks God”. So he voted against him. He said that mentioning God in his decision is what McCarthy rolled his eyes at. Instead Kevin could have prayed with him on the spot and he may have still been speaker. But he choose his actions.

Nope. McHenry is an appointed Speaker and thus can only run the House business needed to elect a Speaker. No regular House business can happen until a new Speaker is elected.
I'm unfamiliar with the part of the Constitution that states that no congressional activity can be performed without a "Speaker of the House". Please cite where that is a requirement. Thank you.
No business can proceed without a SOTH - that's why they had to keep voting until McCarthy eventually won back in Jan. because it was the start of a new Congress. House rules changed post 9/11 (2003, if I remember correctly what I read) - the new speaker then submits a secret list of his pro-tem replacements so that House business can proceed in the SOTH absence. House activity CAN be preformed because they DO have a SOTH in pro tem.
“McHenry’s authority is determined by House Rule I, Clause 8(b)(3), which was put in place in 2003 and which reads, in part:

It is in the House Rules, IIRC. I think I saw this from SharonSaysSo on Instagram or someone else who cited the sources. There is a difference in the power of an appointed Speaker Pro Tempore vs an elected one. The person who stated this showed the sources so I believe I am correct.
What I am trying to point out is that the Constitution states a very limited role of the speaker, and doesn't state that Congress can't operate without one. It seems that the Founders intended for a speaker to provide order to the proceedings, but not a requirement for votes on issues, other than impeachment, which is the only vote that DOES require a speaker. Any other "requirements" associated with a speaker are just things that have been informally adopted over the years. The House could vote on things, other than impeachment, without a SOH.

From everything I'm reading, technically, YES, the House can function as normal - the reason it may not is because politically, McHenry was not voted into his position so he has to act like he does not have the full power the SOTH would. Ask Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer what THEY thinks about it - they sure acted like McHenry had the authority to make them move offices. The whole reason for having a pro-tem position is so that business can move forward in case of a vacancy.
