From what I’ve read and watched it wasn’t a torpedo. They simply switched the actual Titanic with the Olympia, which was an older ship that had been previously damaged. They painted over the Olympia in the night, called it Titanic, and sent her out to sea when she was compromised and weakened. They were sister ships with many of the same features.

Let's say safe, portable nuclear fusion was released tomorrow. The oil industry would basically be done for. Electric companies would be a thing of the past. Each home could be powered by a small reactor. We'd all be happy. The elite wouldn't since they clearly use oil as their main form of currency.
Now, portable fusion isnt on the horizon, yet, but let's say something 1/10th as ideal is ... And that really isn't a stretch to believe. The scum families would basically lose 1/10th of their leeching income. What's worse, for them, is that they'd lose a LOT of control since this new means of energy creation would inspire the piss-ons to improve it and make it more widespread. They'd have to work harder to contain the spread of it should they want to maintain their control.
Medicine is the same way. I'm sure there are loads of inexpensive treatments out there for all sorts of disease that are being hidden from the public. Healthcare has been made into a big business for one reason only ... Control. Therefore, we can't have dirty, lower life form humans able to survive most disease w/o having to go bankrupt. Hell, most general practice doctors could more than likely see a significantly reduced workload using the basic AI technology we have right now. People think of AI only useful for controlling mechanical systems autonomously. I think the first thing AI could replace is basic diagnosis. If the AI has access to your vitals, results of blood samples, and all of the other stuff your pcp has, it could probably determine the most likeliest problem you might have in no time. However, again, that hurts the Rothschild's bottom line and make you a bit more free ... They cannot have that.
