Sorry to break it to everyone, but it is not the least bit unusual for golfers to have athletic tape on fingers where blisters tend to exist, to prevent blisters and/or to heal blisters.

What’s more, golfers don’t wear two gloves, because one hand requires less friction/grip, not more, and one hand doesn’t need the added slop which a second glove would create.

If non-golfers don’t believe tape is a thing or that tape is a godsend, try hitting a few buckets at the driving range — the skin from your hands will be destroyed before you realize it.

My first thought is that this has to be fake. Even Obama is probably not stupid enough to go out in public if he was all bandaged up after someone just died at his residence.

Does anyone have any sourcing on this assertion? I agree that this entire thing is suspicious as hell, but there's all kinds of rather explosive statements being made by semi-prominent accounts on Twatter, and zero corroboration as best I can tell.

Aside from the "wouldn't be questioned or give a statement" assertion, there's also been: -The cook was about to publish a tell-all book -The Obama's sent the county mortician away and flew in their own mortician. -Barack Obama was the 2nd paddle boarder -The chef suffered severe head trauma

As far as I can tell, these are all elements of the story that are being passed around as fact despite there being no corroboration or sourcing.

I'm not positing that this story shouldn't be covered. Far from it as what we do know is highly suspicious. But I'm concerned that most around here aren't questioning the rumor mill a bit more fiercely.
