You cannot biblically call anyone a Jew anymore, not in the sense Scripture requires. Why? Because in the Old Covenant, to establish your standing as part of the covenant people, you had to pull out your family tree. “Are you of Levi? Prove it. Are you of Judah? Show us.” That genealogy was your passport. Ezra and Nehemiah both demonstrate this, when certain priests were excluded from service because their names could not be found in the genealogical records (Ezra 2:62; Neh. 7:64). No paperwork, no priesthood.
But here’s the kicker. Where were those genealogical records kept? In the Temple. And what did God do in A.D. 70? He lit the whole thing on fire by the hand of Titus, exactly as Christ prophesied. “Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place” (Matt. 24:34). And lo and behold, within forty years, the Temple was rubble, the genealogical archives were ash, and every claim to tribal descent went up in smoke.
So now, no man on earth can stand up and, by biblical standards, say, “I am of Levi. I am of Judah.” The records are gone. God Himself made sure of it. The only genealogy that still matters is the one in Matthew 1 and Luke 3, the one that terminates in Jesus Christ, the true and final Israelite, the Son of David, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
So if you want to belong to the covenant people of God, you don’t go rooting around in DNA kits or Ancestry.com. You cling to Christ. He is the true Israel, and in Him alone you can be grafted into the olive tree (Romans 11).
To claim to be a Jew in the old covenant sense now is like claiming to be a lifeguard in a swimming pool that has been drained, paved over, and turned into a parking lot. The whole category has been fulfilled and superseded in Christ.

I honestly think the old testament shouldn't be given to people before they are ready to understand this and the fact that the word of Jesus supercedes whatever was written before Him.

I'm not going to argue semantics. Fulfills or supercedes, the point is that if you follow Christ, most of the Old Testament becomes moot and should be understood as important historical context that lead to Christ.
I appreciate your perspective, however Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, not in the sense of abolishing it, but in bringing its promises, covenants, and prophecies to completion. (Matthew 5:17) The Old Testament isn't merely 'moot' historical context; it's sacred Scripture that reveals God’s character, His covenant faithfulness, and the foundation of sin and redemption. The early Church, including the apostles, relied heavily on the Old Testament to preach the Gospel. While Christians are indeed part of the new covenant through Christ, we don't discard the Old Testament, we read it through the lens of Christ’s fulfillment.

This is very easy to do...when you don't actually read the Bible. I would bet that less than 1 in 100 churchgoers who profess to be Christian, have read the Bible in its entirety even one time.

I was that guy. Then I took the challenge to read the Bible from cover to cover. I did so twice. When I read the Old Testament, I was shocked. From attending church, I had heard the Old Testament, I mean, verses, but when I read the Old Testament from beginning to end, God is NOT a nice old guy sitting in the clouds.
When you get down to it, the Old Testament is mankind's soap opera. Oh, the messes everyone got themselves into because they didn't listen to the Word of God. We're lucky that God didn't wipe us out before we made it to the New Testament.

My pastor, when he was in a physical building, always put his Bible and notes on the front pew for this very reason. He didn’t like the elevation and podium look. He also allowed parishioners to raise their hands if they had a question. He says there is no sense going forward because they’ll be left at the sticking point. No he does church via Skype.

But while he bruises the heel of Masiach Nagid - the prophet Daniel's title for the Messiah, Jesus Christ - his head is bruised because Jesus rises again from the dead and ascends into heaven.
But back to my point. Who is the harlot of Revelation 17 mocking?
It's not a false church, like Rome. It's not some arcane, yet-to-be-born religious order.
It's mocking ISRAEL! And as the religious leaders of Israel killed Jesus, their descendants - whom John calls in his first epistle those of the "spirit of Antichrist" - this false religion is going to gleefully persecute and kill Christians.

All I've said does not speak of the true Jews. These are the synagogue of Satan that Jesus speaks of. We should be loving and praying for the salvation of the true Jews, that as we Gentiles have already had, that they would bow to their Messiah and repent.

If you track the Bible’s own language, the “harlot” has always been Jerusalem/Israel when she broke covenant. Isaiah called her a harlot (Isa 1:21), Jeremiah said she played the harlot with many lovers (Jer 2–3), and Ezekiel showed her chasing Egypt, Assyria, and Babylon (Ezek 16, 23). Revelation is pulling straight from that backdrop. John says the woman is “the great city” (Rev 17:18), the same city “where their Lord was crucified” (Rev 11:8). And Jesus said it was Jerusalem that was guilty of all the prophets’ blood (Matt 23:37; Luke 13:33). That’s not Rome ….that’s Jerusalem.
I guess according to your Version of Jesus Teachings, he was Only Teaching these Groups in a Private Setting, behind Closed Doors, where it was Only Jesus and the Pharisees and Sadducees, nobody else, nobody to hear what Jesus said to rebuke them, because it was ONLY Jesus and them, without WITNESSES....

This is great and all, but remember that jewish people in general are not our enemies. Specific people, who might happen to be jewish or other religions, are our enemies.
Good presentation on spiritual Israel. God also has national blessings and curses for Egypt, Israel, Syria (Assyria), Jordan (Edom, Moab, Ammon), and other nations, which are separate.
However, it doesn't agree with OP title. The video has nothing to do with whether any people that claims descent from Judah or Levi has been shown not to be descended from Judah or Levi. It has nothing to do with finding other tribes, though many of Manasseh have been found. I've been asking for this evidence but nobody seems to have it. They merely point to mergers via the acceptance of some of Edom and all of Khazaria, but this does not invalidate right to descent from Judah.
Dan has one of the closest potential etymological connections, namely to Danes, but the arguments from etymology are inconclusive despite there being many of them.
Native Americans carry many origin traditions very close to Gen. 1-11 including names for the Great Spirit that seem to relate to Yahweh. I think they are pre-Abrahamic, because getting Natives into America after Judah is about as sketchy as Mormonism.

Just in looking things up this morning, of the many many groups counted within Judaism there is an interesting group called "Crimean Karaites": "Most Karaites in the region do not consider themselves to be Jews, associating the ethnonym with Rabbinical Jews alone, but rather consider themselves to be descendants of the Khazars, non-Rabbinical Judeans, or other Turkic peoples. Research into the origins of the Karaites indicates they are of ethnic Jewish origin and are genetically closely related to other Jewish diaspora groups."
I'd have to say that, as with the Catholics, there are all kinds of subgroups with different historicocultural identities that have cut various unique deals with the main group that benefit from the main group being defined as united. Some of these give rise to the situation, notable in all kinds of intermixed people-groups, of having the benefits of dual citizens. A true dual citizen does not shirk the responsibilities of dual citizenship either, and that's what Jews have often been criticized for (just as others are when they do this), claiming "white" as convenient and "Jewish" as convenient. The individual who does this is denying one or both heritages by denying responsibility, and so it's a criticism that can apply to many individuals, while I don't know of a historical case where a group has denied responsibility for a heritage at large while claiming the benefits of that heritage. Crimean Karaites are noted for rejecting the Talmud but still being accepted as part of Judaism, as part of their unique historical negotiation, but without getting some undeserved benefit.

Thank you! We are constantly coming up with research at c/Christianity, even though it's not easy to search. When I looked at Rev. 2-3, in accord with the other harmonies there, I found seven different works of satan as hinted in my link. So when we say "it's the satanists" we have a motto that encompasses everybody no matter how their demographics are skewed.
I found it particularly interesting that one of these works, the "seat of satan" was literally the Pergamon Altar, the one that Hitler had moved to the Berlin Museum. Here is a similar altar built separately by Albert Speer for (architect) Hitler's annual rallies at Zeppelin Field, which Architecture of Doom 1989 says was specifically Pergamon-inspired. Then of course in 2008 a very similar rally in Denver at Invesco Field specifically anointed (nominated) Obama from a platform that CNN gushingly described as a Greek temple: [the comparison to the Pergamon Altar is striking. And that was one month after Obama spoke in Berlin at the Victory Column, down the street from the OG Pergamon Altar. So that's an example of satan's public messaging system.
The point being that satan has left rabbit holes everywhere and his tendency to use certain races more often as his human shields should not dissuade us from researching everything, as they're all connected! Israel and the church are distinct. There is no sudden disappearance of Israel in Revelation 4 and reappearance of Israel near the end of the book. The church descends with Christ.
Saying “Israel is the church” is like saying, “salt is pepper.” God is not grafting one thing into self to make itself jealous so that it won’t boast. Accurate theology is obligated to pass the logic test and be reasonable. Redefining terms with abhorrent theology is the only way to make an argument otherwise.
Christian Gentiles are grafted into the original Jewish branch / tree. But that does not mean we do not share in covenant and blessing with God’s Jewish remnant (non-Gentiles). There is a sense in which Christ reigns now in the kingdom and there is still an earthly kingdom yet to come form which He will reign. Approximately 1,000 years is the time limit.
I asked Grok to create a very simple explanation of the difference between Biblical Israel and Modern Israel. This is what I got....
Israel in the Bible (Including Abraham)
Who is Abraham? Abraham is a key person in the Bible (in the book of Genesis). God chose him to start a special family, promising him a land (Canaan) and many descendants who would become a great nation. Abraham is like the great-grandfather of the people called Israelites.
What is biblical Israel?

Why was it created? After many years of Jewish people living scattered around the world (often facing hardship), they wanted a homeland. The modern state was set up after World War II to be a safe place for Jews, based on their historical connection to the land from the Bible.

Even if they WERE descendants of Jacob, it's irrelevant. The New Testament makes it very clear that any Christian is a descendant of Abraham. The Jewish people aren't special anymore.
The biblical "Judeans/Hebrews" were a designation given to those who were "enlightened", "self-realized", "awakened". Just like in many other traditions around the world, when this higher state of consciousness is achieved, the individual now has a new sense of "identity". Rinpoche, Sri, Ananda, Yogi, all examples. The biblical "Egyptian" or "Caananite" represented the common state of debauched, unaware, asleep consciousness of the masses.
The cabal/Vatican just deceptively turned these words describing 'states of consciousness" into "states of geography" or "states of BELIEFS. And later, they turned these states of consciousness into "bloodline lineages" - a.k.a. Khazarians or Sephardics.
All if it, 100% NONSENSE MATERIALISM and LITERALISM which is what always gives the cabal away.
The biblical "Jew" state of consciousness is available to all of humanity, and will one day a state reached by all. Because it is our NATURAL STATE. Today's common state of consciousness, while appearing "normal", is very much abnormal in the grand scheme of things. A temporary state of fear and judgment, the human egoic state in a nutshell.
"The chosen ones" are those who CHOOSE truth over lies. Said in another way for Christians, those who CHOOSE God over mammon.
None of it is about BELIEFS. All BELIEVERS are DECEIVED by the cabal. Perhaps the cabal's greatest deception is that BELIEVING is equivalent to "knowing". Nothing could be further from the truth. "Knowing" is EXPERIENCING as is commonly referenced in scripture. To "know your wife" is to EXPERIENCE her in sexual union. You only BELIEVE you know your wife's name, age, history, etc. Who knows, maybe she lied to you, right? Or maybe she was lied to by her parents? The point being, BELIEVING you "know" is not KNOWING.
Those who CHOOSE to transcend beliefs, which we are deeply immersed within, are those who eventually rise up and become "the chosen ones".
You are the CHOOSER. 99% of humans are lost in BELIEFS. Will you CHOOSE to release them, or continue to CHOOSE to "go along with the herd"?
"The chosen ones" break from the herd. And that's why there are so few....

So if you want to belong to the covenant people of God, you don’t go rooting around in DNA kits or Ancestry.com. You cling to Christ. He is the true Israel, and in Him alone you can be grafted into the olive tree (Romans 11).
To claim to be a Jew in the old covenant sense now is like claiming to be a lifeguard in a swimming pool that has been drained, paved over, and turned into a parking lot. The whole category has been fulfilled and superseded in Christ.

While Christians are indeed part of the new covenant through Christ, we don't discard the Old Testament, we read it through the lens of Christ’s fulfillment.

This is very easy to do...when you don't actually read the Bible. I would bet that less than 1 in 100 churchgoers who profess to be Christian, have read the Bible in its entirety even one time.

I was that guy. Then I took the challenge to read the Bible from cover to cover. I did so twice. When I read the Old Testament, I was shocked. From attending church, I had heard the Old Testament, I mean, verses, but when I read the Old Testament from beginning to end, God is NOT a nice old guy sitting in the clouds.
When you get down to it, the Old Testament is mankind's soap opera. Oh, the messes everyone got themselves into because they didn't listen to the Word of God. We're lucky that God didn't wipe us out before we made it to the New Testament.

This is exactly why I haven't attended a physical church since childhood. I don't trust those who stand 3 feet above me, telling me what the Bible says. I do fellowship at work but it's random. I just have to continue to visit them until I feel right about it (with help from our Holy Spirit)
My pastor, when he was in a physical building, always put his Bible and notes on the front pew for this very reason. He didn’t like the elevation and podium look. JohnTitor17, every time I pray usually in the morning before I get up, I always pray a Holy Spirit prayer in one of the sentences says “Spirit of the Lord, God of Israel” instead I always said “Holy Spirit, God of the real Israel and the world, have mercy on us”, by the way I was born on April 17, which God is always telling me his plans about me in advanced, I have never been married and I believe he wanted me to do something else, yes I had even a fiancé who passed away two days after he tried to marry me, weird things have happened to me when I had a boyfriend. I always thought the Harlot of Revelation 17 was merely a false church or a false religious system.
But then I realized something.
This image is not just of a lewd woman drinking the blood of saints.
It's an image of MOCKERY!
But mocking who?
See Revelation 12. The chapter opens with a woman - Israel - who gives birth to a Child Who will reign all the nations. The Child is caught up to heaven, in spite of the Dragon's (Satan's) attempts to destroy him by proxy (Herod), by personal temptation (Matthew 4's encounter between Jesus and the Devil), and ultimately by power (the Sanhedrin and the Romans). But while he bruises the heel of Masiach Nagid - the prophet Daniel's title for the Messiah, Jesus Christ - his head is bruised because Jesus rises again from the dead and ascends into heaven.
But back to my point. Who is the harlot of Revelation 17 mocking?
It's not a false church, like Rome. It's not some arcane, yet-to-be-born religious order.
It's mocking ISRAEL! And as the religious leaders of Israel killed Jesus, their descendants - whom John calls in his first epistle those of the "spirit of Antichrist" - this false religion is going to gleefully persecute and kill Christians.
[They] have done it many times before and will gladly do it all over again.
All I've said does not speak of the true Jews. These are the synagogue of Satan that Jesus speaks of. We should be loving and praying for the salvation of the true Jews, that as we Gentiles have already had, that they would bow to their Messiah and repent.
Zechariah 12:10-12 talks about their hour when the sons of Israel finally see Jesus:

We speak about Israel here, but please, PLEASE remember to keep a good distinction between which Israel we ask God to bless: the good and faithful remnant whose families will eventually be saved at the final coming of Jesus, or the globalist, evil, scheming stakeholders of world power, ever attempting to thwart the spread of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.

However, it doesn't agree with OP title. The video has nothing to do with whether any people that claims descent from Judah or Levi has been shown not to be descended from Judah or Levi. It has nothing to do with finding other tribes, though many of Manasseh have been found. I've been asking for this evidence but nobody seems to have it. They merely point to mergers via the acceptance of some of Edom and all of Khazaria, but this does not invalidate right to descent from Judah.

Dan has one of the closest potential etymological connections, namely to Danes, but the arguments from etymology are inconclusive despite there being many of them.
Native Americans carry many origin traditions very close to Gen. 1-11 including names for the Great Spirit that seem to relate to Yahweh. I think they are pre-Abrahamic, because getting Natives into America after Judah is about as sketchy as Mormonism.

I'd have to say that, as with the Catholics, there are all kinds of subgroups with different historicocultural identities that have cut various unique deals with the main group that benefit from the main group being defined as united. Some of these give rise to the situation, notable in all kinds of intermixed people-groups, of having the benefits of dual citizens. A true dual citizen does not shirk the responsibilities of dual citizenship either, and that's what Jews have often been criticized for (just as others are when they do this), claiming "white" as convenient and "Jewish" as convenient. The individual who does this is denying one or both heritages by denying responsibility, and so it's a criticism that can apply to many individuals, while I don't know of a historical case where a group has denied responsibility for a heritage at large while claiming the benefits of that heritage. Crimean Karaites are noted for rejecting the Talmud but still being accepted as part of Judaism, as part of their unique historical negotiation, but without getting some undeserved benefit.

When I looked at Rev. 2-3, in accord with the other harmonies there, I found seven different works of satan as hinted in my link. So when we say "it's the satanists" we have a motto that encompasses everybody no matter how their demographics are skewed.
I found it particularly interesting that one of these works, the "seat of satan" was literally the Pergamon Altar, the one that Hitler had moved to the Berlin Museum. Here is a similar altar built separately by Albert Speer for (architect) Hitler's annual rallies at Zeppelin Field, which Architecture of Doom 1989 says was specifically Pergamon-inspired. Then of course in 2008 a very similar rally in Denver at Invesco Field specifically anointed (nominated) Obama from a platform that CNN gushingly described as a Greek temple: [the comparison to the Pergamon Altar is striking. And that was one month after Obama spoke in Berlin at the Victory Column, down the street from the OG Pergamon Altar. So that's an example of satan's public messaging system.
The point being that satan has left rabbit holes everywhere and his tendency to use certain races more often as his human shields should not dissuade us from researching everything, as they're all connected! Israel and the church are distinct. There is no sudden disappearance of Israel in Revelation 4 and reappearance of Israel near the end of the book. The church descends with Christ.
Saying “Israel is the church” is like saying, “salt is pepper.” God is not grafting one thing into self to make itself jealous so that it won’t boast. Accurate theology is obligated to pass the logic test and be reasonable. Redefining terms with abhorrent theology is the only way to make an argument otherwise.

Christian Gentiles are grafted into the original Jewish branch / tree. But that does not mean we do not share in covenant and blessing with God’s Jewish remnant (non-Gentiles). There is a sense in which Christ reigns now in the kingdom and there is still an earthly kingdom yet to come form which He will reign. Approximately 1,000 years is the time limit.

Even if they WERE descendants of Jacob, it's irrelevant. The New Testament makes it very clear that any Christian is a descendant of Abraham. The Jewish people aren't special anymore.
The biblical "Judeans/Hebrews" were a designation given to those who were "enlightened", "self-realized", "awakened". Just like in many other traditions around the world, when this higher state of consciousness is achieved, the individual now has a new sense of "identity". Rinpoche, Sri, Ananda, Yogi, all examples. The biblical "Egyptian" or "Caananite" represented the common state of debauched, unaware, asleep consciousness of the masses.
The cabal/Vatican just deceptively turned these words describing 'states of consciousness" into "states of geography" or "states of BELIEFS. And later, they turned these states of consciousness into "bloodline lineages" - a.k.a. Khazarians or Sephardics.
