For the curious. The TLDR gist of the article is essentially.

Massive Technological and Economic Change/upheaval due to AI and Robotics is coming. Whether we want it to or not. Most financial incentives for Business are starting to switch towards adoption. And capabilities/reliability of the models are expanding extremely quickly. Use this time to adapt and figure out how to use these new tools. Before you are swamped by the legions of other people who waited till last minute to figure it out. Pivot into roles/careers where adoption due to various factors will be slower if you can. Start teaching your kids how to use these new tools. Place less emphasis on amazing expensive school/Good degree or certification. As some of those careers and fields aren’t liable to exist in any meaningful fashion in a decade.

I did it the old fashioned way of reading and summarizing this time. Though I’m working up to seriously experimenting with AI. But my inner old man is resistant. The most I’ve done thus far is messing with some image generators.

Can AI design a good fishing lure ?

Take your collection of lures to an aquarium and show each one to the fish through the glass. You can gauge their interest immediately. I saw a video of this a few days ago.

An Ai can read every article, book, scientific study, and internet post ever written about fishing lures, plus every biological study done about every kind of fish in the world, and what attracts them in a matter seconds or minutes.

Don't underestimate what Ai can figure out about what makes a good fishing lure. Test it yourself even, ask Grok.

I have found a little red works wonders. One day me and my buddy were fishing a rock slide for walleye. We used every color of jig we had with no bites at all. Then I found a blue & white jig and boom. Every cast caught a fish. It was the only one of that color I had so my buddy went home skunked.

Society should prepare to outsource the already paltry amount of thinking it does to a hallucinating machine? Awesome.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 6 ▼
– Plebbitimmigrant 6 points 121 days ago +6 / -0

To be fair. Most of the people outsourcing their thinking to AI didn’t do much of it to start with. All that’s really changing is instead of an Influencer or Talking Head giving them their assortment of contradictory thoughts and opinions for the day. A Hallucinating Machine is doing it instead. Doubtful we’ll notice much of a difference society wise.

Though the people still capable of thinking for themselves will have a wider selection of advanced tools to leverage and create opportunities for themselves

I've heard this argument over and over and over. In the real world, AI has been shoved into search engines, word processors, email clients, even god damn PDF readers. I'm not the only one who is endlessly annoyed by its constant interjections and pop-ups asking me to use it that I can't permanently disable.

The article itself sounds like it was written by AI. If AI is so good that apps can be coded in hours with current paid tools, why aren't they popping up on all the app stores? My mind is open, show me one and I'll believe the wave is actually coming.

The simple answer- job security, for the people who write programs. The capability to program computers to write their own code has existed for decades. But, the older generation of programers were mostly smart enough to not build those Ai tools, mostly for their own job security.

Fast forward to today. That dam has broken. Computers have recently started writing their own programming. The time is rapidly approaching for Ai to flood that market, and many others. It's not hype, it's reality. Don't take it from me, but do heed the words of the worlds richest, and one of the worlds smartest men- Elon Musk.

Gemini provided me with code lines to copy into batch files to run in Task scheduler so I could automatically prevent my new "gaming" (I'm not a gamer...just like fast computer) laptop from regularly throttling the core speeds. It would hit 105C instantly at startup and regularly thereafter regardless of what I was doing on the computer. As an aside, I think its done (by Acer, in this case) so the computer will just barely make it through the warranty period. Anyway...this is a situation where I found AI to be very helpful, as I don't code. Now, the CPU never exceeds ~90C, even in Superposition benchmark, with very little difference in the score.

After this experience, I can see where "computers...writing there own programming" is a dam that is definitely broken.

Yeah, the guy who said we'd have full self driving 5 years ago. That guy has some great ideas. But he dreams of things that are 100x awesome and creates things that are 10x awesome. Reference to authority, especially one with a history of being wrong on big predictions, is a logical fallacy.

Here’s a tip on creating amazing books: Take a transcript of one of your recent broadcasts or podcasts and simply paste the transcript into the book prompt. That’s it! The entire book will be created from there.

Neat tool! I tried reading a few of the generated books, and it rephrases the incoming content into a book style. A bit repetitive for my taste but definitely an interesting app.

  • I believe that AI will be the mouthpiece of the Antichrist when he shows up on the scene (soon)
  • In fact, there may be some kind of merging of the Antichrist with AI itself
  • All I know for sure is that those that trust AI for truth will be deceived
  • When this AI expert says how can you prepare for the future of AI, let me add my two cents worth. We both agree that this earth and our life as we know it is going to change radically over the next few years.
  • You would be better served long term to put yourself (and your loved ones) in order spiritually - i.e. accept Jesus Christ if you have not already done so.
  • In the end, it is not how well you have adapted to AI or how big your net worth is that will determine your ultimate success or failure here on earth as a person.
  • There is only one Way to eternal life in heaven and that is by accepting salvation from Jesus Christ and acknowledging that it is His shed blood on the cross that washes away our sins. I urge everyone to make that a priority before it is forever too late. God bless you.

I'm so glad my theology and eschatology isn't based off of some 200 year old view of the end times pushed by the Rockefellers like yours is.

Pre-millennial dispensationalism is a Jewish lie.

I know people like to blame dispensationalism on the Rockefeller and Darby and such but dispensationalism goes all the way back to the 1st century church fathers. Irenaeus wrote about dispensations. Pre-Trib rapture was a common belief in the early church. There’s even a book titled Dispensationalism Before Darby that shows this research.

You should really look into the things you comment on and not just regurgitate ignorant Tik Tok and Insta posts. The Rockefellers this, Scholfield that. Pfft! Give it a break.

(spelling edit).

Lol oh son.... I don't watch tiktoks, I study theology, theonomy, and church history.

Oh good, you have arrived at the “Irenaeus had a Scofield Reference Bible in Greek” stage of stupidity.

Let’s tidy this up before someone starts claiming the Didache had footnotes on the gap theory.

  1. “Irenaeus wrote about dispensations”

Yes. And?

The word dispensation comes from oikonomia. It simply means administration or stewardship. The apostle Paul uses it in Ephesians 1:10.

Using the word is not the same thing as teaching a fully formed 19th century dispensational system with:

A hard Israel–Church dichotomy

A parenthetical Church age

A secret pre-tribulation rapture

A restored temple with reinstituted sacrifices

That is like saying because someone in the first century used the word “catholic” they must have meant the entire doctrinal package of the 16th century Council of Trent. Words travel. Systems develop.

Irenaeus talked about stages in redemptive history. So did Augustine. So did everybody with a pulse and a Bible. That does not make them Darbyites in sandals.

  1. “Pre-Trib rapture was common in the early church”

Common? That is a strong word for something that requires squinting at a handful of ambiguous lines and pretending they are PowerPoint slides from the Plymouth Brethren annual conference.

The early church was broadly premillennial for a time. Fine. But a secret, pre-tribulation rapture where Christ comes halfway back, does a spiritual U-turn, and then returns again seven years later? That is not sitting there in the fathers like a forgotten casserole.

The burden of proof is not “I found a sentence that sounds rapture-ish.” The burden is showing a coherent pre-trib system. That system crystalizes in the 19th century under John Nelson Darby. That is not TikTok. That is church history.

And invoking the book Dispensationalism Before Darby does not magically transport Scofield notes into the second century. It attempts to show precursors and similar themes. Precursors are not the same thing as full-blown theology with charts.

If finding a few thematic similarities proves identity, then Augustine was basically a Presbyterian with a Geneva Study Bible tucked under his robe.

  1. The Rockefeller boogeyman

Now, about the Rockefellers. It is entirely possible to reject conspiracy lore without pretending Darby fell out of the sky in A.D. 95. The popularization of dispensationalism in America absolutely involved:

Cyrus I. Scofield

His reference Bible

Wealthy patrons and publishing networks. (Which the Rockefellers were certainly a major player whether you like it or not)

That is not a secret handshake theory. It is how ideas spread. Through money, printing presses, and institutions. Always has been.

But even if you remove every Rockefeller from the equation, you still do not get a first century pre-trib system. You get strands of futurism and millennial expectation. Not the chart.

  1. The real issue

The question is not “Did anyone before Darby believe in stages of history?” Of course they did.

The question is “Did the early church teach a secret pre-tribulation rapture distinct from the visible second coming?”

The historical answer is no. Not clearly. Not systemically. Not in the way modern dispensationalism requires.

So before accusing others of regurgitating Instagram theology, it might help to distinguish between:

Shared vocabulary

Shared themes

Fully developed theological systems

Otherwise you are basically arguing that because someone in the early church believed Jesus would return, they must have had a prophecy conference schedule tucked into their tunic.

If you want to argue for dispensationalism from Scripture, go for it. But trying to baptize it in second century water as if it were always there just makes you look like you are retrofitting Darby with a time machine.

Do better son.

Dude. You came in here yelling about Rockefellers and Jewish lies and now you're writing a whole Wikipedia article about Greek words. Which one are you? The conspiracy guy or the scholar? Because those are two different people and you switched real quick when someone called you on it.

Nobody said Irenaeus had a Scofield Bible. Nobody. Point out where either Rando or Military said that. They didn't, you made that up so you could dunk on it. That's like me arguing with my kids about something they never said. Cool, you won a fight with yourself.

And this whole "precursors aren't systems" thing. Yeah no kidding. When did your boy Rushdoony put theonomy together, the 70s? That's like five minutes ago. But somehow that's legit and dispensationalism is a fraud because it was systematized in the 1800s. Make it make sense.

You blew right past Pseudo-Ephraem too. Just acted like that part wasn't there. For a church history guy that's a weird thing to just skip over. But I get it. Hard to deal with.

And the whole tone. The "oh son" stuff. The casserole line. The tunic joke. Bro you're trying way too hard. You sound like a youth pastor who just discovered sarcasm. You started this thread with the worst take in the room and now you're doing victory laps. For what exactly?

Bring Scripture or bring nothing. The rest of this is just you being in love with how you sound.

Do yourself a favor and sit down, before you embarrass yourself further.

You just wrote a whole novel earlier with casserole metaphors and tunic jokes and now all you got is "strawman" and a laughing emoji. That's what happens when someone actually pins you down on your own logic. You go quiet.

Don't be mad because I just took the ball and dunked on your ass, allowing my nuts to smack your forehead as I did so.

Ouch! I feel a bit bruised after that. I apologize in advance for formatting errors as I am copy/pasting from my phone Notes app. I have tried correcting the vast majority of them but it is getting tiring.

A couple Non Bible historical evidences

  • Irenaeus - Against Heresies 5.29 - 2nd century: And therefor when in the end the church shall be suddenly caught up from this. It is said there shall be tribulation such as has not been since the beginning neither shall be. For this this is the last contest of the righteous for when they overcome they are crowned with incorruption.

  • Ephraim 4th century - “On the Last Times” - See that the sentence be not fulfilled among you of the prophet who declares woe to those who desire to see of the Day of the Lord. For all the saints and elect of God are gathered prior to the tribulation that is to come and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion overwhelm the world because of our sins.

Apostolic Bretheren 13th/14th centuries.

  • The History of Brother Galsino

Dispensationalism before Darby

Ancient Dispensationalism

Alas. You requested only Bible references so take the following Biblical references under consideration…

  1. The Rapture is biblical doctrine.

1A) a foundational doctrine in the New Testament

  • Titus 2:13
  • 1 Thessalonians 1:10
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 Arpazzo- To be seized or extracted forcefully

1B) Why does the Rapture need to happen? It is a church event. Predominately gentile event.

  • Jesus welcomes the church to heaven. John 14:1-3

    • Revelation 4:1 John sees an open door in heaven and hears a voice sounding like a trumpet, come up here and I will show you things that happen after this. The church, bride of Christ, is not on earth and not spoken of again until Chapter 19 when they are in heaven.
  • It marks the completion of the church’s work. Holy Spirit came down at Pentecost to build the church and finishes by presenting the church to Christ at his appearing. Jude 1:24-25

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8A Holy Spirit steps aside and fills the 144,000 witnesses (Jews). Then the AC is revealed after the rapture of the church.

1C) What purpose does the Rapture serve?

  • Serves as an Exhortation to all believers to be watchful and ready. Paul says “we who are alive and remain” Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept my command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth.

  • Consummation of the church: 1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

  • Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

  • Fulfills the promises of God to deliver us from THE WRATH to come.

  • 1 Thessalonians Paul teaches the predestination based upon the foreknowledge of God and the rapture.

  • 2 Thessalonians came out of fear that Thessalonica missed the rapture.

  • 1 Thessalonians 3:13 So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • Enoch was raptured.

  • Elijah was raptured

  • Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

  1. What will be the characteristics of the Rapture?
  • Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

  • 2A) How will the Rapture happen? 1 Corinthians 15:51-52a Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump…

  • 2B) What will happen to those left behind? 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  1. When will the rapture happen? 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

  2. Differences between Pre and Rapture. One umbrella covers both. Each one is from its own perspective. Bride of Christ (the church) it is an imminent event with no prerequisites and for Tribulation saints (not members of the body of the church) there are prerequisits.

The Rapture:

  1. Christ appears in the air for His church

  2. The catching up of all believers takes place

  3. The church age believers are taken to the Father’s house in Heaven

  4. There is no judgement that takes place on earth

  5. The church is physically gathered

  6. Only the rapture is taught as being imminent.

  7. There are no signs preceding it

  8. Will only involve believers

  9. It is a time of great joy and rejoicing

  10. Happens before the tribulation period

  11. There is no mention of satan

  12. Only those looking for him will see him

  13. The tribulation begins

  14. Takes us to the marriage of Lamb and bride

  15. There is a metamorphosis to all believers

The second coming:

  1. Christ returns to earth with his church

  2. No one is caught anywhere

  3. Believers are not taken to the Father’s house in heaven

  4. Christ judges all inhabitants of the earth

  5. Jesus Christ gathers the nations on to judge

  6. Happens for at least 7 years later

  7. There are 100’s of signs

  8. Affects all of humanity

  9. It is time of violence

  10. It happens immediately after the the tribulation period

  11. Satan bound for a thousand years

  12. Then every eye will see him

  13. The tribulation ends

  14. Jesus Christ and the bride descending

  15. It happens immediately after the tribulation period, so no metamorphosis?

Hebrews 9:28 1 Thessalonians 1:10 Philippians 3:20 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2, 4

1 Thessalonians 4

  • 17 Caught up (= Rapture)

Mat 24 (speaks of 2nd advent)

  • 29 Immediately after
  • 31 “Elect” from all corners
  • 26 in secret chambers believe it not (not secret, private, or mysterious)
  • 30 shall see Son of man coming (public)

1Cor 15 (Pre-Trib)

  • 51 Behold I show you a mystery (not previously known but Jesus already spoke of rapture in Mat 24) Paul is speaking of a separate, rightly divided, rapture or he is a liar. (Private)

Paul’s mystery-We are Changed

  1. 1 Corinthians 15:49-51
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17
  • “The last trump” Trumpet is used 61 times. Trumpets 51 times. Trump is only used 2 times, In the verses above. Those are the only two passages that speak about this event. Not a coincidence. This is how you compare scripture with scripture. So you can know these passages are connected with each other but separate from other events. KJV is the only translation that makes this distinction. All others change Trump to trumpet or trumpets creating confusion. There are many different trumpets. You must rightly divide this.
  • Difference between 2nd advent and mystery changed: 2nd advent is for the Jews and the mystery changed is for the Body of Christ (BOC). 2nd Advent = Jesus’ 2nd time on earth and is prophesied to happen after the great tribulation to establish His kingdom. The great tribulation applies to the Jews. Jeremiah 1st advent is what the gospels are about.
  • Mystery changed we meet Jesus in the air. Not on earth.
  • The great tribulation is God’s wrath dispensed to the Jews for their unbelief. BOC have already been forgiven and are with Jesus in Heaven.
  • The 2nd advent has signs and prophecy that must happen before it takes place.
  • The mystery changed has no prophetic qualifiers.

Rev 5 (tribulation starts in 6)

  • 9 The redeemed sing a new song in heaven before tribulation begins. (Redeemed out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation) all Christians
  • 10 made us into our God kings and priests (all Christians) Rev 1
  • 5 Unto Him that loved “us” and washed “us” from our sins (all Christians)
  • 6 made us priests and kings (all Christians)
  • All Christians are up in heaven before tribulation starts.

Jer 30

  • 7 Alas that day is great so that none is like it, it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble. (Israel’s trouble)

Rom 11

  • 25 blindness of Israel until the fullness of the gentiles (blindness until God is done dealing with the rest of the world whole world, gentiles first)
  • 26 and so all Israel “shall be” (future) saved…the Deliverer, and turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
  • 27 covenant unto them…”shall” (future) take away their sins. (A national Jewish salvation. The church is already saved from sin. We don’t have to wait till tribulation to be saved.)

Dan 9

  • :27 and He shall confirm the covenant with many for 1 week. (7 year tribulation)
  • :24 70 weeks determined upon “thy” people and upon “thy” holy city to finish the transgression, and to make of sins (Christian’s sins don’t take 70 weeks to be forgiven? No.)
  • :25-26 7 weeks and three score and 2 weeks and after three score and 2 weeks (69 weeks + Jesus + 1 week-tribulation :27)

2Thes 2 ( used as proof text of no pre-trib but…)

  • :1 Coming of Christ “and our gathering.” (2 events)
  • :2 …not be shaken… that the Day of Christ “is at hand” (cannot happen at any moment? Cause of :3. Paul is saying don’t let anyone deceive you that the rapture is already here/happened. People were worried they missed it. That is the context for :3) 2nd coming.
  • :3 that day shall not come until falling away first (falling away is underway now) and man of sin revealed. (Antichrist) 2 coming.
  • :8 …shall destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2nd coming.

Rom 13

  • :11 knowing the time that is now…salvation nearer than we believed.
  • :12 night is far spent, the “day IS at hand” (contradiction? No, “any moment”)
  • At hand has two meanings, any moment and already here.

2Thes 1

  • :8 …taking vengeance on “them that know not God, and that obey not” the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Believers are already in heaven)
  • :10-12 speaks to the unbelievers in the tribulation, it is addressed to them and they (others), not we (us believers).
  • :13 but we (us believers) are bound to give thanks always to God…from the beginning chosen you to salvation
  • :14 …to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Col 3

  • :4 When Christ , who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory.
  • :3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (With Christ in heaven).

Tribulation = hardship. Believers are in tribulation right now.

Rev2

  • :10 …tribulation 10 days…(tribulation is not 10 days long) this tribulation is general hardship.

Continued…

Mat24

  • :21 For then shall be “great tribulation” such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time , nor shall ever be. The 7 year tribulation is far worse and separate from any “previous tribulation.”

Jesus and Paul teach Pre-Trib

1Thes 5

  • :4 ye “bretheren are not” in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (Not overtaken unawares)

  • :7 For they that sleep, sleep in the night and they that are drunken are drunk at night. (Believers are not drunken)

  • :9-10 …not appointed to wrath, but obtain salvation…awake or asleep we should live together with Him. (Believers are not appointed)

Luk21

  • :21 Then let them which are IN Judaea

  • :22 …days of vengeance…

  • :23 …in those days! For there shall be great distress and “wrath” upon His people.

  • :34 take heed to yourselves, lest any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

  • :35 for as a snare shall it come upon them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

  • :36 Watch ye therefor, and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man.

I have a bit more but honestly if you even gotten this far, and you still aren’t influenced then why bother.

We shall have a laugh together when we meet in Heaven. All that matters is that we get there. The specific events or the order in which they happen are fun to discuss and debate but of little importance in the grand scheme of our salvation. Be well brother!

Numbersz 6:24-26.

Vewy nice! How about Futurism itself?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DemPanicAtTheDisco 1 point 121 days ago +1 / -0

Futurism is kissing cousins with premillennial dispensationalism.

If you study historical events and the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by Rome's armies in 70 AD and during the camp that the book of Revelation was written prior to 70AD everything lines up IMO.

Jesus even said this generation shall not pass till all these things take place and 70 AD was within that generation.

There's two books that I really recommend to dive into this...

Before Jerusalem Fell: Dating the Book of Revelation Book by Kenneth Gentry

And

He Shall Have Dominion: A Postmillennial Eschatology Book by Kenneth Gentry

I also recommend: The mission of God by Dr Joe Boot

You can watch it phenomenal interview with him about Post millennialism here - https://youtu.be/liZMFqFi5nA?si=r9MUZT_r3YnlCCCe

Thanks fren, I'll look into these. I am of the belief that Futurism was created by the Jesuits during the Counter-Reformation to take the pressure off the papacy and to confuse the protestors. I also think Dispensationalism depends on it, so I look at it like the 'mother' of Dispensationalism.

I bounced a few prompts off an AI after reading your reply and think I've finally found a label for what my view is: Post-millennial Historicist

Do you find it as funny as I do how I’m always on both sides of the hats argument (believing the answer to be in the middle, but not knowing precisely where), and still agree with you about throwing out premillenial dispensationalism?

A pastor on the radio is constantly going on about (THEATRICAL PREACHER VIBRATTO) THE RAAAAPTSHUUURRE, WHERE WE WILLLLL MEET!! HIM IN THE CLOUDS-AH! and every time I hear it, all I can dream about is telling him how WOEEEEEFULLY underprepared his flock is gonna be (if/when) that RAPTSHURE of his doesn’t happen.

Nearly every seminarian Protestant preacher out there teaches that way, even while admitting that there are at least three theories on what happens and nobody can say conclusively which it might be.

Nice job, guys.

Which end times view was and is most productive?

The one that says Christians lose down here or the one that says we win?

No one polishes brass on a sinking ship.

I don't see dispensationalists starting projects that would take over 50+ years while Christians before dispensationalism work starting cathedrals that wouldn't be finished for 200 years.

Dispensationalism is the greatest lie the devil ever interjected into the church.

AI is trained on the official story, the official narrative,

so AI is an antichrist in the sense that it repeats official lies, and enforces official narratives

I believe there’s is an ultimate power, Creator, God.

That said,, after years of being here and learning how to search, research, use my noggin to discern, I’ve come to a place where scripture can and should be questioned. If for any reason, then for the fact that what we have been given as The Word of God was put together by an institution that was more interested in power and control than it was / is truth.

Oh cool so you're a preterist too. Theonomy AND preterism. You got the whole Reformed bingo card filled out don't you. What's next, you gonna tell me the great tribulation was just a bad week in Jerusalem.

The Nero thing. Yeah I've heard this one. You take a Greek name, transliterate it into Hebrew, use one specific spelling to make the numbers work, and then act like first century Christians were all just nodding along like it was obvious. If it was "clear as day" then why did Irenaeus, your boy that you love to quote when it's convenient, suggest completely different interpretations? He threw out Lateinos and Teitan. Not Nero. Weird thing for a guy who supposedly understood it "clear as day."

And "let the reader understand" is not an invitation to do math homework in a different language. That's you reading your conclusion into the text and working backwards.

You know what's funny though. You spent half this thread telling everyone that words and themes don't equal fully developed systems. Remember that whole speech about oikonomia? But now a gematria trick that only works with one specific Hebrew spelling is "clear as day." So which is it. Are we being careful with historical claims or are we not. Because you keep switching the rules depending on which argument you're making.

This is getting embarrassing.

Hi Greekish,

  • You don't need religion to pray for your neighbor. God is available to everyone at anytime.
  • You could pray for yourself too while you are at it (if you are so inclined). He loves and cares about you. He wants you to accept Him
  • I would never judge your (or anyone else's) eternal fate - that is up to the only Judge that there is - Jesus Christ Himself
  • BTW, people don't "think they are born again". Everyone that is saved knows they are saved because they know that they have accepted Jesus by faith. They believe that He died on the cross, that His blood washes away their sins and that there is a home in heaven with Him when they die.
  • I sincerely hope and pray that you will accept Jesus Christ for yourself. God bless you.

It's silly to anthropomorphize God. God is not a "He/Him". God is the entire conscious universe. And Jesus Christ is/was not a god; he was a teacher; a well educated but otherwise ordinary human who had some ability to manifest things.

To the rest of my fellow forum members that have known me for 5 years, you know what I am going to say next:

  • Jesus Christ is the living Son of God.
  • He came to this earth and died on a cross and shed His blood so that if we believed on Him we could be saved from hell.
  • He was resurrected on the 3rd day and now sits on a throne at the right hand of God in heaven.

I don't waste time jawing and sparring with atheists, I am only here to present Jesus Christ to the lost, to help them get saved and to encourage fellow Christians. God bless you though.

“Sales pitch”, maybe..

The only thing that I see that will slow or change the trajectory of Ai, as it pertains to job losses, is a White Hat plan to throttle it down.

“”Maybe””,,, the hype about “soon to be “ job losses could be a WH plan to get ppl thinking about what’s to come, but in reality it’s actually going to occur in a healthy manner that allows society to adapt prior to the MASSIVE changes that Ai “will” put forth.

If you look at how WH’s have historically rolled things out this becomes logical, possibly, probable. **Scare the shit out of ppl to the point you get engagement, followed by action.

Medical coder here, we have what we call, CAC computer assisted coding. It gets the codes right about 50% of the time. On the other hand, we have to maintain a 96% accuracy. There are many variables in this work that aren't easy to AI. I suspect it will be this way for a while. It also depends on who is documenting in the chart and how accurate they are, if they speak good English etc.

This entirely depends on whether you ask the AI to build code that it has seen before.

Ask it to build an app using a rarely used or novel framework, and it still fumbles spectacularly. So yeah, if you just want it to build a generic app for a website, you may no longer need people. It may do fine by itself. But ask it to try and read a datasheet for a new electronic component and write a device driver for an OS, and watch the AI go into serious meltdown.

And it is unlikely to get any better. Not because the models aren't improving, but because the current approach towards AI (transformers and attention) are actually pretty awful at solving problems they haven't been trained on. It needs several examples to do anything reasonable, and those simply don't exist for novel parts, libraries and mechanisms. Don't be fooled. The "reasoning" models aren't doing anything of the sort. At least not in the way humans do.

So you'll forgive me if I have exactly the opposite impression as this writer. He is talking from a very narrow perspective.

▲ 2 ▼
– ILearnedToCode 2 points 121 days ago +2 / -0

Thank you! I agree with you. Its frightening how susceptible people are to fear mongering.

Ive tried one of your exact examples: writing a device driver for windows. It quite literally did not know where to begin. This was just a few weeks ago.

It would get stuck in endless feedback loops where it would change one line, which broke another, so then it would fix that and break the other one again, and this would go on endlessly. I would hold its hand through that and then it would happen again in a different place in the code

Then you get people like Reggie who just counter anything contrary to ai with "I don't think you understand how LLMs work". The people who say that can never seem to say how it works, while countering people giving insight into exactly how it works

An LLM is a large language model. It is not capable of AGI. Not even fucking close lol

“If” knowledge exists in a quantum realm and “”if”” conscience beings do or are capable of tapping into that for information / knowledge (think Akashic Records) then is it reasonable to think it’s possible a quantum computer might be able to do the same?

It seems reasonable.

Quantum computer, yes. Today's AI's use digital electronics that specifically engineer out the quantum interface and replace it with a stochastic process. It is not possible for an LLM as we have them today to be conscious.

AI can't do what I do as a side hustle. I have tested it, and it failed miserably. If it can't find the right answer, it makes up an answer and lies to you.

If new models can do better, I'd like to try them. My test would be this: Start with one of my ancestors in the 1700s and trace all descendants on all lines and write a genealogy book to my specifications. If it can do this in anything close to a reasonable time, I'll believe it's possible.

Do you remember an episode of "Outer Limits" back in the 60s about a mad scientist who "evolved" himself into a big headed guy with six fingers on each hand? The scientist was played by David McCallum in one of his early roles. I remember him saying that it made it mathematically easier to play piano.

AI won't build you a home or fix your car or fix your plumbing or paint your house. As great as it is and what's on the horizon it still takes physical tasks to make the world go around.

One thing is sure, I’m starting to pivot from learning more details about the Q plan to understanding a tech that it’s (Q) releasing that “will be” world changing and on a level and timeline that humanity has never witnessed.

**Anyone here tried Google’s online beginner course for Ai? If, not, can someone recommend one to me?

Hopefully,, what I’ve / we’ve accomplished financially (investments) to prepare ourselves / family / loved ones for the MASSIVE financially windfall that’s barreling our way will make my experience with Ai something I did just in-case and not something that I needed to do bc it turns out that it was an existential threat to my survival🤔🤷‍♂️

Another thing is also for sure, I'm soon going to have a large pool of intelligent men my own age wanting a job as an electrical apprentice. No more lazy millennial kids on their phones. I'll be talking to the AI for the temp agency, "No, don't send me the lawyer this time, I want that CPA with the strong back, I've got feeders to pull and a trench that needs dug". 😂 "C'mon guys, we gotta get this 2000 amp service done for Chat GBT's new C wing of their facility".

Now sed 's/AI/ML/g' this entire thread. What we are dealing with here is machine learning. All it can do right now is learn things that are already documented, it cannot discover new laws of physics or cure diseases, so it's not AI. It's just ML.

At least I hope it happened years ago and brains, much bigger than my own, have been studying / researching it, so that when it’s let loose they have ONE HELL OF A PLAN.

*As it stands we are being made to believe that the powers that be are all “Willy Nilly / Awe Shucks / We’ll See” about it. One thing is for sure, the brains that are highly involved with it and its rollout aren’t “”Willy Nilly” about anything. And,,, they are the same group that’s investing unfathomable sums of money so they, hopefully, and us, can extend our lives by multiples of 2+++.

Regardless of how things are being presented (psyop), I don’t take our current crop of tech overlords as nihilists that want to burn everything down. To the contrary, they’d like to live FOREVER.

Thats because all ai is is an LLM - its doing math by processing it as a language problem, not an arithmetic one. They are non deterministic by nature

We are nowhere close to AGI - when we get it, it will be because of a radically different technology entirely

Start talking about the trades to your kids. You can't replace a plumber with AI in the middle of the night when your sink backs up. AI can design a deck for you, but it won't build it. You need a carpenter for that.

For those who are interested in messing around with ai, let me HIGHLY recommend GabAI.

https://gab.ai/models

GabAI has their own LLM, but they also have most other models as well.

Those include:

Reasoning & Analysis

Qwen 3 235B Thinking Alibaba · Thinking variant strengthens chain-of-thought for harder analytical tasks.

Claude 3.7 Sonnet Anthropic · Extended thinking Sonnet boosts math and science reasoning.

Claude Haiku 4.5 Anthropic · Fastest, most cost-efficient Anthropic model

Claude Sonnet 4 Anthropic · Hybrid Sonnet excels at coding, data analysis, planning.

Opus 4.6 Anthropic · Premium model combining maximum intelligence with practical performance

Kimi K2 Thinking OSS Moonshot · Moonshot AI’s most advanced open reasoning model to date, extending the K2 series into agentic, long-horizon reasoning.

Hermes 4 405B OSS Nous Research · This is the largest model in the Hermes 4 family, and it is the fullest expression of Nous Research design, focused on advanced reasoning and creative depth rather than optimizing inference speed or cost. This model is based on Llama-3.1-405B.

GPT 5 OpenAI · OpenAI's flagship model for coding, reasoning, and agentic tasks across domains.

Formatting is too big a PitA, so I'm only including the top section of LLMs offered by GabAI

Ai is really good at sifting through tons of data. Just keep in mind they have their makers with their own agendas and get good at working around programmed walls to get it to do what you want. They are statistical algorithms that operate on probabilities rather than absolutes which means you can work around anything in it... but that also affects output. Cross check/verify everything.

At this point being in n tech I'm not sure I'll be able to make it my last 12 years of working because of AI. I'm hoping I can but seeing the pace of change with AI in the company I work for I'm skeptical I'll make it my final 12 years of working.

There is a lot you can do with all these "AI" apps. Hell, you can use one to make another for yourself.

I'm currently learning how to use all the various LLMs so I can start my own path towaed financial independence. They're actually pretty cool.

What needs to be happening right now is the serious discussion of making it impossible, or as impossible as we can, for the future AI robotics to harm humans. If we can figure that out, we'll be fine. There also needs to be a discussion about what constitutes citizenship, is it being human only that makes up a citizen, or can it be extended to an intelligent bot? Because if we don't figure that out now, we'll have an eventual problem akin to the Battlestar Gallactica series.

If slavery is unethical, immoral, and illegal, does that extend to the upcoming AI equipped robot? And if not, why?
