Russia doesn't use the DEFCON system. They have raised their nuclear deterrent status to "Special Combat Readiness", which I couldn't find info on what that specifically meant. It could be the equivalent of DEFCON 2.

Nevertheless, Putin is issuing a warning that he's ready to retaliate if someone initiates a nuclear attack. Well, we kind of already knew that. That's pretty much how any country with nuclear capabilities would respond, right?

Friends dad died at 56 from radiation exposure from the 1st nukes they tested out west. Colorado he said. Skin and lungs were horrible.

Hunkered down in a plywood shed. He and another heroic private had to lay a 2 mile detonation cable. 1st try...dud. They had to inspect the cable and go to the bomb and check the connections, I guess. 2nd time...boom.

Fren, who's 64, found all this out at his military funeral. He had no idea. His dad was a neighbor to and dated June Carter ( Cash). Grandnaw buried beside A.P. Carter. Music people know who he is! He, Sarah and Mother Maybelle...

...that's my story.

John Paul Jones stopped by there a few years ago as a tourist! Famous people there off and on. Beautiful area...on Clinch River in a gorgeous valley....Hiltons, VA. God's country! About 35 mins from me.

We found the are because TN had blue laws...no beer on Sunday...so we'd drive to SW VA , buy cheap beer and cigs and ride the backroads (they all were!)

We used to drink beer and smoke pot on A.P.'s grave in the 70s!! Dumbasses we were.

It may seem crazy, I totally understand why you might think that, but it's true. This is how the powerful communicate their plans and where real history is recorded.

That "source" is concentrated BS. The radiation warning graphic simply symbolizes radiation emanating symmetrically from a source. The "Enola Gay" was named after Paul Tibbets' mother, not as some kind of coded reference to homosexuals. And the "Bockscar" was the bomber that dropped the "Fat Man" bomb on Nagasaki. My father walked the ruins of Nagasaki shortly afterward. It was not a "fire-bombing." The destruction was appalling. The shadows of human beings could be seen where they blocked the flash from the bomb detonation. I have pieces of trinitite from the Trinity detonation test: sand fused into a frit from the heat of the fireball. The "Little Boy" was in no way a precursor for "Fat Man." They were entirely different approaches, and there was only enough enriched uranium to construct one "Little Boy" and it was therefore never tested (they knew it would work, however). So much basic science and history wrong. Anyone reading this material would get de-educated.

Yes, it was. We've gone too far down the road to now think we are standing on thin air. I am surprised you haven't seen the many nuclear test films, impossible to produce with conventional explosives.

I've worked most of my career in strategic defense. Nuclear weapons are real. I worked at a nuclear target. My mentors worked in nuclear weapon delivery system development and production (B-52, B-2, Minuteman, SRAM, ALCM). Frankly, to say that this is all imaginary and fraudulent is revolting. If you disbelieve in reality, you have a serious mental problem---or are incredibly ignorant.

When I am in a discussion and the other party gets emotional and starts throwing accusations I just stop right there. You can't rely on what they say because you know it is coming from somewhere else other than logical argument.

I have a friend who is very into aviation and planespotting. I said to him once that there is considerable evidence that the Apollo moon landings were faked. He went crazy, red in the face and shouting at me that it could not possibly be true. No attempt to debunk my argument. I unintentionally hit him in a sensitive spot by undermining his deep belief in man's ability to achieve flight and conquer space frontiers.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

Too bad. Your problem is that the Moon flights were real. They brought back samples of the Moon and photographic evidence of having been there, not to mention personal testimony. You can't debunk what is real. The reality stands. The idea that it was all faked is fantasy. Fantasies can't be "debunked" because there is nothing to debunk. You would have to debunk the Moon flights---but you can't make evidence and testimony go away.

If you have questions, you should ask them and get the answers. The so-called "evidence" of fakery is simple ignorance of what is being seen. Go to the remaining Saturn V vehicle and prove it is a fake. They only launched them multiple times. I can try to answer your questions, but you are somewhat obligated to accept the answers. Otherwise, you put yourself beyond rational discourse.

The problem is, how do we know what is real? Film can be created. I didn’t experience it (assuming you can trust what you see, that it’s not a ‘trick’). I was not involved. I say the same thing for viruses, dinosaurs, atoms, etc. I’m not saying they’re all fake - but I’m saying that I have to rely on others’ word because I have no lived experience to help out (and reading it in a textbook or watching an old film is not lived experience).

The point is, I question it. The more I learn the less I know.

▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

If you go down the road of radical skepticism, you have no place to stand. How do you know that ANY answer you receive is true? You don't. You have no way to obtain the truth, because you have denied that truth can be discerned. Good luck with that. You think you are sophisticated and penetrating---and all you are is completely ignorant.

Meanwhile, you can pay attention to those who have been involved in the field. Artifacts from the bomb destruction are real (I have some). Witness testimony is real. The film is real---prove it isn't. Go ahead, question whether a .45 caliber bullet can kill you. Stand in front of someone and take a shot, Put your life where your mouth is. Questions are fine, but you have to stand by the answers.

I make statements like I know stuff - but I know almost nothing. We all know almost nothing, except our lived experience. Keep in mind that I mean know in the true sense of the word. Knowing as a part of my being - I’m not good at communicating it.

I don’t know any of what you’ve stated. You’re correct. But we have to function in a world of unknowns. I reach conclusions based on probabilities.

I have training in science, masters and PhD. I do research. But I’ve started to make an exerted effort to do what I was told to do during my training: question everything, including peer-reviewed literature, and textbooks. We were told to do that but it seems education often has the opposite effect, making students into NPC’s that don’t question anything so long as it’s peer reviewed.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

If you are reaching conclusions based on "probabilities" then you really don't know what you are talking about. Assessment of probability requires far more data than people realize. And right or wrong is not a matter of probability; it is a matter of truth. (What people think of as "probability" is usually supposition. Unless it can be objectively calculated, it is not probability at all.)

But if you have a paradigm of epistemology that condemns you to endless searching for truth, but never to find it, you might reconsider your paradigm. It is perverse.

I’ve learned to question everything, including my science textbooks. I took more chemistry in college than any other science - and I question it. It may be true. It may not be.

Are atoms real? Do they have protons and neutrons? How do I know whether they are real? How theoretical are electron orbitals and shells?

Are viruses real? How would I know? Supposedly, they have yet to be isolated from a sick person. What does that mean?

I don’t know the answers. No matter what I’m relying on someone else for the answer. I can believe one way or the other, but there’s always a chance the opposite is true.

The only people who know the truth about the city-destroying nuclear bombs are those directly involved.

– intellectual-darkweb 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

Electron orbitals make sense, and the theory translates to real-world observations in the way of chemical reactions, etc. But I can’t know what is truly going on. Again, not saying it isn’t true - but I can’t know in the truest sense.

Dinosaurs is more of a stretch (for application). Like I tell my friends and family, who think I’m crazy, I’m not saying they’re not real. I’m saying that if I showed you big old bones and got you to believe in big lizards, there’s lots of fun I could have with you. Dinosaurs are probably real - but I’ll never know - and I’m fine with that.

The more I learn, the less I know, and that’s okay.

Amen. We recall reading a long time ago - documents that pretty much proved that it's next to impossible to create the "n-bomb," due to instability etc. That all the "n-bombs" that (reportedly) went off during ww2, etc. were just massive carpet bombing campaigns. Look at the similarities between the two cities that were (supposedly) "nuked" and Tokyo. Exactly the same. Anyway...

Those documents I read - have been memory-holed off the interwebs. Cannot find them anymore. I wasn't keen enough to download and save back then.

However, since reading those - I never again feared "da bomb." Almost all "scary" things the world cowers over - is pure propaganda. I noticed a lot of people nowadays understand - that if the MSM reports it - it's probably BS.

How does the videos of the nuclear physicist that eats the uranium from the 70s or 80s fit in? Not that I necessarily believe what I saw is what the reality is.

I tend to believe in nuclear weapons but have been unable to determine if it is because of 58 years of propaganda or not. Not that what I believe makes any difference to anything on this subject.

Like anything I keep an open mind as much as I can because of lies and propaganda.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

You have to figure out how to discern the lies and propaganda. That requires reading and learning and unifying your knowledge. One thing is for sure, physics is real. Everything about nuclear technology is real. There are books that spill all the beans. Read them.

There was a nuclear scientist who did publicly eat either some uranium or (I think) plutonium, to prove a point about its deadliness as a toxin (not). I wouldn't be up to playing that game, not having a good opinion of heavy metals in general. As far as I know, he never had reason to regret it.

There is such a plenitude of information about nuclear weapons, why would you doubt their existence? Is it because you don't see them going off all the time? Do you doubt the occurrence of massive conventional explosions? They don't happen all the time, either, but when they do, it is a terrible event. (Think Beirut ammonium nitrate stockpile explosion.) Perhaps we should set off a nuke every now and then to convince the scoffing ignoramuses that they should wake up and smell the coffee.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. The uranium bomb destroyed Hiroshima. The plutonium bomb was tested at Trinity and destroyed Nagasaki. In a flash, not in a conflagration. The Japanese knew better; they had been working on the technical problem also. Developments of fission bombs and hydrogen bombs were designed, produced, and tested in the 1950s, and made into operational warheads. The Soviet Union, United Kingdom, France, and China followed suit. Now including India and Israel. We have satellite sensors designed to detect the distinctive double-flash of a nuclear detonation, which is what led to the reported detection of an event by South Africa. Now nuclear tests are conducted underground, but they can still be detected seismically.

How is it possible for fictitious weapons to be detectable by airborne sampling, space observation, and seismology?

Your "documents" are bogus, if they even existed. There was no "carpet-bombing" campaigns against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, only a bomber and some reconnaissance planes. Read "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons" by Glasstone & Dolan and learn something.

I find it extraordinary that such thinking exists after all the tests during the late 40s into the 50s and early 60s. They were the cause of at least a quarter million deaths from drinking dairy products laden with nuke particles from fallout that drifted east into dairy country.

Add the oneupmanship of the Soviet Union's Tsar Bomba a 50 megaton monster and you have millions of acres of contaminated land and add to that Chernobyl and Fukushima and you have a more perfect poisoning of the world than expected..

OK then, just where ARE the 3 corium that escaped their containment 11 years ago?? Enough there to kill the Pacific, if it hasn't already with 500 tons of river water flowing over the corium every single day for the last 11 years. All this is difficult to verify because the japs are lying about everything and putting pretty barriers up to hide reality of the destroyed reactors. We already know the life span of a worker to fall into the pit is less than a minute. Until you do real digging to prove me wrong, my 5-6 years of digging says it IS a huge deal.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

You are borderline coherent. There are no "corium" (there are reactor cores). They were contained, but melted down. The heat caused chemical reactions between the fuel cladding (e.g., zirconium) and the coolant water, resulting in hydrogen explosions and some release of radioactive gases (e.g., xenon), some of which got into the ocean. The whole story is ably summarized in this entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_Daiichi_nuclear_disaster_casualties

If you haven't been able to disprove what the Japanese are saying, how can you know they are lying? Your remark about lifespan is ridiculous. Only one man died who worked on the recovery, and it was from lung cancer that was imputed to radiation exposure. This digging is enough to show that your 5-6 years of digging was worthless.

My conclusion is that the atom bomb and hydrogen bomb don't exist. However, dirty bombs certainly do exist. A high explosive core surrounded by finely-milled plutonium which is distributed at high speed in a given pattern from an airburst explosion would be indistinguishable from a nuke in terms of effect.

If I’m not mistaken, the last time DEFCON was at level 2 was during the Cuban missile crisis and then it was only for SAC. The armed forces for the United States remained at level 3. This should be plastered all over the news but it’s not. Why?

The destruction will not come from nukes... when it comes (and it will) it will be from space. I have been shown this ....its gonna be unlike anything we have ever known or seen. I wrote if it here over a year ago. It shook me to my core. It is necessary though in order to cleanse the earth of evil...unfortunately many innocents will be lost. I have a theory the asteroid that’s to flyby in 2029 they know is going to hit obviously they wouldn’t tell regular people. I figure that’s why they have a fetish to get reset (depopulation) done by 2030 otherwise why wouldn’t they just slide schedule? They are fixated on 2030. The asteroid Apophis if hit wouldn’t destroy all life but would cause lots of devastation and likely millions dead if hit over populated area. And more dead from years long winter after.
So anyways readd as on they likely would want to eliminate all the “useless eaters” before the hit is because general population would be survival competition after so better to off them, just looking at it from the elite’s perspective. They already building bunkers in NZ etc which makes me wonder. They’d ride it out in remote bunkers

2030 is the 2,000th year since Jesus died on the cross, to pay your sin-debt to God, and maybe the 6,000th year since Adam first sinned. It's the year Jesus comes back to lock up evil and start his 1,000 year long Earthly Kingdom, before creating a new heaven and new earth that never will experience sin. Six 'days' that we lived in the fallen world, plus one 'day' of rest before it ends.

I suppose great reset could be same as the tribulation it’s not like they’re gonna call it the tribulation beforehand that would be bad marketing. And if asteroid hits in 2029 that would also line up with wormwood part of the tribulation period. A quick search some folks think Apophis is wormwood so might be lining up.

They are fixed on 2030.

There is a window of 3 dates over 6 weeks that are palindromes.

At 222am Moscow time on 22/02/2022 Putin gave his speech.

At 222pm GMT the same day Boris spoke.

Then at 222pm Washington on 22/02/2022 Biden started his speech.

The next time that palindromes pop up in dates that work is:

03/02/2030 and 13/02/2031 that’s your great reset window.

We have traveled through it, so it is real enough. No psychological operation. It has been known since the time of Copernicus. Operation Starfish was a nuclear event in space. There were no nuclear tests over Antarctica.

Why Operation Starfish? They wanted to know how nuclear devices performed in space. It was an early anti-satellite system. The Soviets were experimenting with fractional orbital bombardment systems: launching a nuclear warhead into orbit, and then de-orbiting to hit its target. Probably a good idea to intercept such a thing. Better for nukes to detonate in space than lower down.

Who says we can't? We did it on the way to the Moon, and we can do it again. Our satellites and space probes do it all the time. We just haven't gone to the Moon in a long time---for reasons that have nothing to do with the Van Allen belts. We are working toward returning to the Moon, either by NASA or by Elon Musk. Stay tuned. The trick is not to linger in the belts.

You pose a challenge, but it is evident that you don't know a lick of what you are talking about, or you wouldn't be so ridiculous as to throw that up.

Well, by that video, it is clear you are nutso. We have gone through the Van Allen belt, multiple times. And when we return to the Moon, we will go through it again.

You are babbling nonsense. NASA is a formerly respectable, now miserably inept government agency. They are, to be sure, misrepresenting what is happening in the realm of "climate science," but that is transparently political. You have nothing but empty allegations and equally empty questions about Elon Musk, who has made the first big step in reusable rockets in decades.

I have 3 degrees in aerospace science and a 40-year career in the industry, working on space technology and launch vehicles. Go lecture someone who is more stupid than you. You don't even dig to find truth.

Japanese construction did not involve much masonry. It was mostly wood, which was why the firebombing campaign was selected. The bombs achieved extremely high temperatures, emitted intense thermal radiation, and combustible structure was burned FAST. The shock wave from the detonation would have crushed anything standing. The smoke and char was drawn into the mushroom cloud by updraft. In Nagasaki, building skeletons remained. Read "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons."

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– CQVFEFE 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

Nuclear weapons are nowhere near as destructive over distance as we've been fear-porned into believing.

If they were, the entirety of Japan's population would have been incinerated by the two bombs we delivered.

Like sound intensity measured in dB, the destructive force of explosions diminishes as the SQUARE of the distance removed from the detonation site.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– DeathRayDesigner 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

They are exactly as destructive as they are (read "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons"). I can't help the fact that many have been fooled into thinking they are the end of the world. But you are not coping with the fact that they release an immense amount of energy. The radius for a given overpressure can easily be calculated, and most civilian structures collapse at 2 psi. For large weapons, that can be kilometers.

What exactly is your point? If you are trying to say that nuclear weapons are a trifle, you are looking up the wrong hole.
