A good way to catch foreigners is to use simple phrases in different languages. Something like "watch out!" in Swedish, for example. Or "lunch time!" in Danish. Native speakers would instinctively react in a visible way. A few of those callouts in a variety of tongues could spot them.

The police were staying at one of the hotels on one of the main streets the protesters were on. They pushed the protesters past there yesterday. The Rebel news guy, Lincoln Jay, was there and that’s what he said. He’s been right at the front line of things the last few days live streaming. That’s who I was watching when the horses came through knocking down that woman on her mobility device & the guy. It’s sad seeing them being pushed back. They brought in sooo many police or military (some are wearing camouflage so I’m assuming they are military). No name tags or badges or body cameras. And a few different types of uniforms, so they may be from different departments of LE or they are from somewhere else. I’ve heard some folks say they’ve heard different languages, but I haven’t heard them speak on the videos I’ve watched so I can’t say to that.

Ameribro who has been to Quebec. Many Quebec people I interacted with understand English better than they speak it to a native speaker. The ones who speak English decently are still limited by a more basic vocabulary based in getting by in everyday situations and interacting with bureaucracy. It was deceiving because one moment they really can converse and suddenly you smash into a cultural language barrier, especially if you’re American. They do not like using English and don’t work on it much beyond what they need.

I have crossbows too. They are legal for hunting in Michigan. Many archery deer hunters, and there are at least a couple hundred thousand of us here, have gone from compound bows (which Im sure we all still own) to crossbows. Crossbows are lethal and accurate with much more range than compound bows. They come with red dot sights similar to those used on ARs and other long rifles, but formatted for the weapon system.

You need no arm strength for a crossbow. They were first made legal here for the handicapped for just that reason. Not only that, at least in Michigan, there is no background check, no names taken if you pay cash. And they are silent killers that dont give away your position. Thier biggest drawback is that they are slower to reload and fire again.

There have been reports from family and friends of British police units coming back from courses greatly changed with aggressive attitudes.
I'm sure they have methods to do that to people, but then when it comes down to it there are plenty of people going to become aggressive in return.
"Desensitization" is the term. US military surveys done during WWII found that the majority of troops refused to shoot at the enemy (or at least claimed they wouldn't shoot). They'd empty the magazine. They'd march up the beach to almost certain death.....but were (at least saying they were not) shooting at the enemy, for risk of taking a life.
At the time, marksmanship training was still done with bullseye targets. Moving to silhouette targets (part of the ensuing 'reforms') had a statistically measurable effect on performance. As training methods improved through Korea and Vietnam, the survey results improved. It's been a while, but I think it took until Korea for the surveys to report over 50% shooting at the enemy. By Vietnam it was ovr 70%, if I recall correctly
Today, it's opposing force training with laser weapons. And then there are the video games.....both recreational and training. Add to that a self-selecting (volunteer) force, and you're probably looking at close to 100% willing to use lethal force.

The last German soldier I hung out with nearly shot my leg off due to poor trigger discipline. He was not an elite soldier just did his time for his required service but if that is the measure of their average, they are in real trouble if they bring that to the USA. Canadian here - we've been told by the live streamers that these are members of the Quebec Provincial Police riot division; Quebec is a mostly French speaking province.
Canadians would recognize Quebecois when they see them and could easily confirm or deny.
