One of my daughters was a strong conservative, very pro-life, Christian, before she went to college at State University of New York - New Paltz. It only took two years there to turn her completely around! She even threatened to "cut me off" from my own grandson if I so much as mention anything having to do with vaccinations ever again.
One of my other daughters was already pretty rebellious, so going to the same college didn't really affect her :) The third daughter didn't go there, but did experience some of the usual college brainwashing.

What I can’t reconcile about the assassin is that they’ve released video of him walking down stairs but also video of him jumping off the roof. How did he get down using both stairs and leaping off the roof? Secondly, in both the stairs shot and the jumping and running away shot he wasn’t carrying a rifle. So how did they find the rifle in the woods?
And even during this shooting it doesn’t look like he’s wearing it. I could only really tell in a few of the more clear videos/photos, ones up close and you can see his nipples through his white T shirt.
Kevlar body armor also has a sleeve for a steel plate, which he was using. You can see its outline in the videos prior to the shot. In slow motion you can see it hit the top edge of the vest's steel plate and ricocheted upwards into his neck, leaving a much larger hole than if he his neck had been hit straight on with the bullet.
Exactly. The shot was makable and on top of that you don’t have to be perfect to still hit the target. Kyle also had experience. I think people are judging whether someone is a good shot or not based on outward appearance, which is a mistake.
Actually, there is nothing too clean about any of this. Every green recruit in basic training is firing at targets at 100, 200,250 and 300 meters, so this shot is no big deal for anyone who has fired a gun a few times and has even a cheap scope.
If you have ever been in any sort of "incident" that has a bit of a shock and awe element about it, know that it is very easy to get away cleanly, especially if you are not in the middle of the shit with a ton of witnesses around you. If it weren't for video surveillance, he would have had an easier time of not getting identified.

Shooting a target on a range is completely different than shooting a human after climbing onto a roof, sprinting across it, laying down, and getting set. Plus, when you're about to take a human life, unless you're a psychopath, your adrenaline spikes through the roof. That's where breath, mind, and trigger control come into play.

Part of what made Charlie's assassination so powerful and visceral was the combination of its brutality and that it was on video for the world to see. When a death row inmate goes the chair or receives the lethal injections, it is not broadcast for the world to see. It is not bloody and brutal like this was. I recently seen video of the suspect coming off the roof but he didn’t appear to have a riffle with him. Prior to that we hear a riffle was found in the woods which was assembled?
Are we to think he broke it down in the getaway then later reassembled it and left it in the woods? I’m just not convinced this is the guy yet…

recent press conference, governor mentions how there is discord chat with the suspect and his buddy, basically asking him to retrieve the riffle. thats the only detail I'm hung up on. If you look at an overhead shot there isn't really any woods but there are areas of trees. maybe dude flung it off the roof into nearby trees then ran off. limping because that was a pretty big drop.
other detail I'm hung up on is, that post from someone a day prior suggesting something was going to happen. it sorta seems like there may have been a small group of people who knew this was going to happen. like wtf was up with the old man getting arrested shortly after?
*** update: my final update on this. after rewatching the roof jump video numerous times, what I thought was a backpack was likely the riffle. either in a riffle bag or the towel mentioned elsewhere.
Those people are wrong, video was taken during the shooting and he was cheering instantly. Seen it from multiple angles myself.

I was hitting 300, 400 and 450 yard targets in high school with little training with 5.56x45 NATO. That was with iron sites (peep).
Its easier than you think. The issue with the weapon is being familiar with the controls so you can operate it. The rifle he used was designed to be simple and able to reach out a long way to touch someone.
The bigger issue is the psychological one.
The military teaches you how to kill people. Civilian life does not, but hate or brainwashing goes a long way.
It's one thing to site down at the range on a paper target in the shape of a person. It's another thing to actually pull the trigger on a live person.

not a professional shot. stop it. 200 yards from an elevated position. Now I'm all ears if he wasn't working alone but this is not a 800 yard shot which starts getting into amateur/professional shooting.

All shots killing humans, especially if you've never done it before are hard. This was a high stress situation. I can't see a person with zero experience and training could do it, unless he's a psychopath with a history or hurting animals.
It does look like a miss...some say it hit his body armor plate and then ricocheted into his neck. Would that explain his shirt puffing out and up in the false flag videos?

Kirk was under a tent when shot. Maybe only his kneck was visible. The neck is just as lethal as a head shot. Maybe even more so. A head shot or body shot may still allow the target to live aND have a voice afterwards. NOt so with a neck shot. This was to silence him for good.
It's quite possible even with the rifle being capable of a much longer shot, if the shooter was more amateurish, he could have been aiming at the head and just hit low.
A lot of people don't know that you have to adjust for drop.
If you put my wife behind a scoped rifle on a tripod with nothing other to do than pull the trigger she would probably miss her shot or simply not be able to even pull the trigger

My family gives me crap because I "only" can hit shots up to 200 yards at the range. I have horrible vison and im always shaky. 200 yards is a fairly easy shot for most people
Most people can start shooting well with a few trips to the range. The rest of the puzzle takes a little more but not that challenging.
Knowing how to set up the gun or knowing who to have set up your gun and using the right caliber for the intent and distance. 200 yards is not a difficult shot with the appropriate elements above.

Going through the neck/lower skull, and coming out the other side of the neck. Hence the blood splatter and falling motion in that direction. Now it’s a dead in your face shot. Wouldn’t there have been splatter behind him? Nothing shows that at all.
Now personally I wouldn’t have any problem hitting a target “vertically” at 200 yards. Horizontal shots the size of a basketball is very hard. But a vertical shot of two feet wide and 3.5 feet tall, that’s easy. A headshot could easily, with bullet drop, hit the mouth, neck, chest, abdomen….all kill shots. So it makes since to be dead in front. But the motion and damage to the neck don’t relate to a frontal shot, imo. The damage is usually the exit, not the entrance. Doesn’t make any since. I think this kid is absolutely the guy in the pictures. But the shooter…in that area. Not buying it. Anyone coulda be seen him directly in front at 200 yards aiming down. Besides the aorta and carotid there is something else pretty important in the neck. The spinal cord. If the round just hit him in the aorta/carotid it wouldn't have caused him to immediately go limp and fall off his chair. Blood loss doesn't do that immediately. He would fall when the blood loss is enough to cause him to pass out.
However - hitting the spinal cord after traveling through the aorta and carotid (which it appears to have done given the massive gush of blood - would immediately stop the brains signals to the rest of his body and cause him to go limp. In fact it is possible the round hit a cervical vertebrae (probably C6 or 7) first, shattering it and blowing bone fragments into the aorta/carotid and paralyzing him.
I'm hesitant to be quick to say this is the killer. I want to know if he had prior training.. Ofc they came out with a loneman theory but we know this is something bigger..

Video cameras have color set up much different than other cameras, such as phones. I encounter this all the time.

The kill wasn’t clean though. It was an easy shot and he still missed. The bullet ricocheted off the top of Kirk’s body armor and into his neck.
He was not wearing body armor. The shooter likely aimed for the head and shot low hitting the neck.
Charlie wore stealth body armor. Which is kevlar, kevlar does not ricochet.

Part of what made Charlie's assassination so powerful and visceral was the combination of its brutality and that it was on video for the world to see. When a death row inmate goes the chair or receives the lethal injections, it is not broadcast for the world to see. It is not bloody and brutal like this was. The death penalty has lost its desired effect to much of society because it's not real until they are in the room.
I'm not suggesting all executions be broadcast, but for this? Yeah, public hanging or firing squad. It might actually wake up the next potential shooter.

I recently seen video of the suspect coming off the roof but he didn’t appear to have a riffle with him. Prior to that we hear a riffle was found in the woods which was assembled?
Are we to think he broke it down in the getaway then later reassembled it and left it in the woods? I’m just not convinced this is the guy yet…
someone just told me how it appears that he'd been limping in some of the video. perhaps the riffle was in leg of his jeans. if this is the case than, that explains my concern.
recent press conference, governor mentions how there is discord chat with the suspect and his buddy, basically asking him to retrieve the riffle. thats the only detail I'm hung up on. If you look at an overhead shot there isn't really any woods but there are areas of trees. maybe dude flung it off the roof into nearby trees then ran off. limping because that was a pretty big drop.
other detail I'm hung up on is, that post from someone a day prior suggesting something was going to happen. it sorta seems like there may have been a small group of people who knew this was going to happen. like wtf was up with the old man getting arrested shortly after?
*** update: my final update on this. after rewatching the roof jump video numerous times, what I thought was a backpack was likely the riffle. either in a riffle bag or the towel mentioned elsewhere.

It is very common that law enforcement puts out incorrect details to the public that only the killer would know to be incorrect. That alone could explain the discrepancy

200 yards with a pistol? Sure, near impossible.
With a Mauser, 30-06, and a zeroed scope, almost anyone with minimal training could hit that.
I pray it's the right person and the threat isn't on-going, but I'm not pretending this 22-year old shithead is a pro or well-trained.
I was hitting 300, 400 and 450 yard targets in high school with little training with 5.56x45 NATO. That was with iron sites (peep).
Its easier than you think. The issue with the weapon is being familiar with the controls so you can operate it. The rifle he used was designed to be simple and able to reach out a long way to touch someone.
The bigger issue is the psychological one.
The military teaches you how to kill people. Civilian life does not, but hate or brainwashing goes a long way.
It's one thing to site down at the range on a paper target in the shape of a person. It's another thing to actually pull the trigger on a live person.

If he pulled this off - shooting and killing a human - from a roof and over top of dozens of people in his line of fire ... I'd say that qualifies him as a psychopath.

not a professional shot. stop it. 200 yards from an elevated position. Now I'm all ears if he wasn't working alone but this is not a 800 yard shot which starts getting into amateur/professional shooting.
^^^^^ This. Anyone that thinks this was a difficult shot either doesn't shoot or can't shoot. And don't forget, it was actually a miss. I guarantee you he was going for a head shot. Any intermediate shooter could have done it. Many more would have been on target.
All shots killing humans, especially if you've never done it before are hard. This was a high stress situation. I can't see a person with zero experience and training could do it, unless he's a psychopath with a history or hurting animals.

That was helpful!! It did explain all those weird movements of his shirt and why the entry hole looked like the exit hole (because the round was ricocheted off center and likely already fragmented as well). The plate almost saved him.

Kirk was under a tent when shot. Maybe only his kneck was visible. The neck is just as lethal as a head shot. Maybe even more so. A head shot or body shot may still allow the target to live aND have a voice afterwards. NOt so with a neck shot. This was to silence him for good.
It's quite possible even with the rifle being capable of a much longer shot, if the shooter was more amateurish, he could have been aiming at the head and just hit low. A lot of people don't know that you have to adjust for drop.
If you put my wife behind a scoped rifle on a tripod with nothing other to do than pull the trigger she would probably miss her shot or simply not be able to even pull the trigger

And hell regular shooters can miss at 100m when at the range. Recreational shooters often have horrible scores at 50m. I find it hard to believe a 22 year old potentially trans kid just nailed it under pressure

My family gives me crap because I "only" can hit shots up to 200 yards at the range. I have horrible vison and im always shaky. 200 yards is a fairly easy shot for most people
Most people can start shooting well with a few trips to the range. The rest of the puzzle takes a little more but not that challenging. Knowing how to set up the gun or knowing who to have set up your gun and using the right caliber for the intent and distance. 200 yards is not a difficult shot with the appropriate elements above.

I’m still weirded out by the fact that we’re told the shot was dead in front of Kirk. When everyone said before the shot came from the left(facing Kirk). Going through the neck/lower skull, and coming out the other side of the neck. Hence the blood splatter and falling motion in that direction. Now it’s a dead in your face shot. Wouldn’t there have been splatter behind him? Nothing shows that at all. Now personally I wouldn’t have any problem hitting a target “vertically” at 200 yards. Horizontal shots the size of a basketball is very hard. But a vertical shot of two feet wide and 3.5 feet tall, that’s easy. A headshot could easily, with bullet drop, hit the mouth, neck, chest, abdomen….all kill shots. So it makes since to be dead in front. But the motion and damage to the neck don’t relate to a frontal shot, imo. The damage is usually the exit, not the entrance. Doesn’t make any since. I think this kid is absolutely the guy in the pictures. But the shooter…in that area. Not buying it. Anyone coulda be seen him directly in front at 200 yards aiming down. These “security” guys blind or something?
Besides the aorta and carotid there is something else pretty important in the neck. The spinal cord. If the round just hit him in the aorta/carotid it wouldn't have caused him to immediately go limp and fall off his chair. Blood loss doesn't do that immediately. He would fall when the blood loss is enough to cause him to pass out.
However - hitting the spinal cord after traveling through the aorta and carotid (which it appears to have done given the massive gush of blood - would immediately stop the brains signals to the rest of his body and cause him to go limp. In fact it is possible the round hit a cervical vertebrae (probably C6 or 7) first, shattering it and blowing bone fragments into the aorta/carotid and paralyzing him.
Gruesome and sounds about right. If you've hunted, you see wierd things that bullets can do to critters.
Military frens who've seen combat can attest to this too, though I wouldn't blame them for not. Lots of bad memories.
There's more information going around that he allegedly had body armor and the shot ricocheted up, which would account for some of this stuff.

Shadows, natural vs. Artificial light also cause thing to look different, especially colors.
Video cameras have color set up much different than other cameras, such as phones. I encounter this all the time. Better to look for physical differences than minor color variation. Shoes tied differently, for example. People are creatures of habit and almost always tie their shoes in the same way.
