Kamala’s worst mistake was claiming people walk out of Trump’s rallies early and are bored. I have been to three and never saw that. Because of the size of the crowds, it’s hard to leave , even at the end, because people stick around for the whole program. Then she invited the country to go to a Trump rally. If Trump rallies get even larger, he’ll have to hold them in the Grand Canyon. Trump is even drawing big crowds in what we have been told are deep blue states and cities.
The best reply Trump could have made in that response re: rally attendees was that his rally attendees didn’t even leave WHILE BULLETS WERE FLYING overhead at his Butler, PA rally.
I’m still stunned that him being shot in the head wasn’t HUGE topic at the debate. He should have DEMANDED that a shit ton of people in the Secret Service be fired over that - at a minimum - if not prosecuted for criminal level negligence.

But I’m still shocked that GEOTUS himself didn’t work being shot into the debate, as I saw plenty of opportunities for him to have done so. I can’t second guess his decisions though - he knows what’s best to say or not say. It just surprised me that he chose not to bring it up during the entire debate.

What I was really hoping for was Trump calling out all the repeated denials of additional Secret Service personnel and how lots of his supposed security detail there on 7/13 weren’t even Secret Service trained personnel at all. And why hasn’t a single person been fired over that USSS catastrophic failure? And why is the Secret Service refusing to release their records?
I was hoping that he would have really called attention to the whole thing, even going so far as to say something like, “The only reason you’re the Democrat nominee is because they missed on July 13th.”
But that was just my own little fantasy, I suppose. :-)

Donald Trump tried to simply illustrate that her lofty, well-prepared sound-bite answers are hallow because if she were planning to do so many great things... why hasn't she done them already within the past 4 years? Hasn't she been in power already?
Kamala (now and in the past) has proven that she can in fact have "strong moments" (think appealing to emotions), but her momentum never seems to last. She dropped out early in the 2020 primaries despite having one "strong moment" vs. Biden... learning that she needed to skip the primaries entirely in 2024 in order to have any shot at being the president.

I could not watch her either. I love a trump debates but this one I had to turn off. Whenever camera went on kamel toe I got sick to my stomach. It felt as if I was watching a demon spur lies. The energy coming from her was just horrible.

One of the pundits accurately stated that Trump's anger was the voice of angry Americans, and that is true. I watched it from start to finish, and was irritated throughout, because it appeared Harris did exactly what she needed to do - get under his skin. Moreover, she wasn't held to task about her lies, and there were a lot of them. The one thing that really triggered me, though, was the mention of how John Songbird McCain somehow saved the day for Obamacare. That brought back a lot of unpleasant memories. I have told the story on previous posts of mine way back when about how McCain was given the name "Songbird" for a reason. I'm not going to get into that again. McCain was a fucking traitor and he had a wrinkled flag on his casket. He didn't save anything except his own ass when he sold out his fellow brothers-in-arms. Well Sun Tsu’s The Art of War was in full display last night as it was when The Biden debated him. He held back appeared less aggressive, less intimidating. He held his own when necessary but just a little off his game, which made Kamala appear stronger. It just made her appear stronger.
