You're not paying attention, if it doesn't make sense. He's said it multiple times, now. The Epstein Files were put together by bad actors. The information isn't reliable, just like the Steele Dossier, the impeachments, the indictments, and so on. They're put together by the same people, and this is the same playbook they've been running for the last decade.
The difference is that the existence of the Epstein Files was already public knowledge. It couldn't just be swept under the rug like it never existed, so he's shining a spotlight on it instead. This is the third time that he's addressed it in a caustic manner. Why would he do this, instead of allowing the story to just be lost? Why would he provide ammunition to his detractors?
Consider this: Musk had a very public falling out with Trump, where he went up to the insinuation that Trump was in the Epstein Files, and the accusation that this is why Trump wouldn't release them. Why would he do this, when he allowed Trump to watch over his own young child? Now, just a few weeks later, Trump is "Hiding the Epstein Files", just like Musk predicted. If Trump had anything to fear from them, then why weren't they released while Biden was in office, if the Democrat Party is now demanding their release? What do they actually show?
If Trump is telling the truth, and the files are falsified, would the bad actors who put it together - the Clintons, the Obamas, and so on - allow themselves to be implicated? Would they implicate Trump? Given the circumstances, I don't think so. It would have been released within the last four years, if it was advantageous for them, and they had the power to release or leak it. On the other hand, if Trump is lying, then surely, the Clintons, at the very least, would be implicated, correct, and the files would be legitimate? But this goes back to the question of "Why would he lie, and then continue to double down like this?" If he truly is lying, then this really is the most transparent administration ever, because he's being so transparent about his lies!
So if Trump isn't lying, and the bad actors didn't implicate themselves, then what's actually in the files? Do the files even exist, or was the threat of them simply supposed to do something? There's no way to know at this time. However, if you're like me, then you voted for Trump because you at least have some measure of trust for and support in him. He's done a lot of good things, and when he's being as ostentatious and flagrant as this, it generally means that something is else happening, so pay attention, and watch what is actually going on, instead of getting lost in emotions.

The largest trafficking ring, plus, international and high up is all a hoax? Not on your life. Equal justice is on the scales as well, you can't back away from this and get away with it. The only Dems screaming for exposure are the foreign radicals, everyone else is laying low. Let that sink in. The entire Maga movement is part of the reason this has escalated and stayed in the spotlight. Don't excuse anything or anyone, if equal justice is to be restored this could surely make it happen. This reminds me, of an incident with my son Daniel at a Christian school (imagine) (expected much more wisdom from them) my wife and I were called called in for a meeting with the teachers, and principal, because my son Daniel was accused of being a bully, 8 years of report cards (one every month), not one time did Daniel fail to get an A+, in the category of respect for teachers, respect for his fellow classmates, all that thrown out and disregarded, (over one) accusation that Daniel was a bully. IMHO - Trump is the 'face' of the Q team. I have never seen any of these 'incidents' go against Trump in the end. I trust this 'team' as well as the President.
