Any other localities or States that have laws like this can easily be challenged and defeated because of this precedent. It also voids future limitations on lawful gun owners being able to apply for CCW permits in States that require it. No longer can they make arduous processes to deny a Constitutionally protected Right from being infringed by any government

It is a legal contract and always, always has been. That's why people can get married at the office of a justice of the peace and it's 100% legal, but if you don't get that marriage license you can have a million-dollar wedding and it won't mean a thing if your spouse dies and the relatives start fighting over who gets (what you thought was) your house and your kids.
Marriage is one thing but I don’t think anyone should be arrested for doing anything consensual in their own room. It seems borderline totalitarian to force people to act a certain way inside their own homes.

The term Marriage is a Christian concept. The Civil Unions never raised an eyebrow, but that was not good enough. They claim to want separation between Church and State, but the term Marriage is biblical and contained within most religious texts throughout the world, or at least the concept is. A simple change in terminology would've circumvented the issue entirely. As far as consenting adults in the privacy of their own homes, I honestly don't care at all. Legislating morality is a slippery slope on both sides of the fence, it simply should not be done AMONG CONSENTING ADULTS. I said it twice to drive the point home.
